I had the same ordeal pod since I was maaried in Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral but I belonged to the Parish of the Alliance of Two Hearts. Nananghid ra man mi ato , wala man bayad . I have no answer for your question , it is better to ask the management , office of the parish why such magpabayad man sila .

Yes it is a must to be baptized for converts because it is a succession of administration of the Holy Sacraments. Murag chain of command bitaw, you cant bypass , naay predecessor. Basically , ug mo recieve na ka sa Sacrament of COummunion , you are required to be CONFIRMED thus the Sacrament of CONFIRMATION . Before ka ma kumpirma pod , you have to have the SACRAMENT of BAPTISM .

my brother was baptized sa leyte but raised here in Cebu., and no this is not an isolated case, kay bisan diri sa amoa nga simbahan ug simbahan sa punta ug sa talamban mangayo mag payment for linakangan.. ang simbahan sa punta kong asa sila kaslon nangayo ug linakangan sa simbahan kong asa gibunyagan akong maguwang which is sa leyte, ug dri sa among simbahan, ug sa talamban sa side sa babay.. dako2 jud sila ug nagasto kay lain2 man ug presyo dili man parihas, nyaaakss!.. akong pangutana nganong kinahanglan pman na?
