They promised not to increase any taxes as what some loyalists here still claim. But look at the situation now. Haha. Also, one of the effects of CCT is that farmers down south no longer have to work because all they have to do is wait for these dole outs -- this has drastically affected the agricultural output.

Now imagine what would happen if this bill comes into law. More tax burden for the people and free socialized housing for the lazy. So people actually like socialism -- a close derivative of communism.

My fears are coming true, that one day we will try legislate people out of their poverty. This is the folly of most people, to think that a good intention will always have good results. We will uplift the plight of the poor while impoverishing the tax payers. There is just no logic behind it.

Mr. Aquino's statements are not very reassuring. The signing of the law is only delayed. One way or another, be prepared to be taxed more. Just remember, anything the Government must provide for the poor, It has to get it from your pocket. Government doesn't have any burden of debts, only people like you and me.
