Best Multimedia/gaming Laptop or desktop brand?

Hi mga master!

Naa ko plan mag buy ug new laptop or desktop, pero dili pa karon. I am trying to find the best brand sa laptop arun maka prepare ko sa right price. Pero nag tigum pasad ko.

Mao ni akong questions:

1. For multimedia artists/gamers, which is better, laptop or desktop?
2. I was thinking that it's better to use laptop kay ma dala2x ra jud. So unsa man ang pinaka d best nga brand sa multimedia/gaming laptop?

I don't care unsa ka mahal, makita man jud nang money. I am concerned with the performance, quality, durability sa laptop nga mu last jud ug lifetime (dunno if possible).

Some people say nga mac book or sony jud daw. My problem with mac, dili tanan na andan nako nga softwares mu run sa mac, so mag install nasad ko ug windows sa laptop too much hassle, although pas2x jud ang mac. Or mag study nasad ko sa new environment.

For sony, I am not that sure, pero nag laway ko aning S Series nila. As in, mga 60k ra pud xa, 12gb ram, 1 tb harddrive. Pero I'm not that sure kung good ba jud ni xa. Ang mga review man gud, gamay ra nag ingun nice daw xa. And sony fan sad ko...hehe, so I hope I'm fair enough to decide the best one....

For other brands nga mas lower ang price, like toshiba, nag cge sad ko ug think if nindut ba jud ni xa. Again, bahala'g mahal, basta sure nga tinood jud iyang performance. Ingun sa uban nice pud daw ang toshiba, pero most of the reviews kay mu ingun man nga it's budget friendly. Good for the price daw....

For Multimedia i recommend Macbook Pro with Retina Display, why?Ingon sila og base sko research pinakada BEST jud ang MBP with Retina Display when it comes Image, Video Editing and Multi-tasking.. AFAIK wala'y makalupig sa Resolution sa MBP tungod sa Retina Display og smoot kaayo when it comes editing and multi-tasking BUT downside for this.. is not good for Hardcore gaming (of course u know difference kung imo e-compare sa mga other brand nga Gaming Laptop)Then i know the price much expensive compare other brand, but for me REASONABLE ra pud ang price and recommended jud ang MBP sa mga Graphic Artist, blogger, Reporter, Dj's, etc.

Now. for Gaming... I recommend Asus ROG Laptop G75VW aside sa Bagtik kaayo Specs.. i like the design and Style wa jud makalupig kay base nila Design sa US Stealth Bomber Plane og naay isa Model nga Murag Lamborghini Design pero old Model na to xa.. For Cheaper Gaming Laptop.. i recommend MSI Gaming Laptop.. any model you can choose what ever budget you have.. Good Specs, hm.. design also Good but not as COOL as Asus ROG.. Other than this two Brand, i do not recommend u SONY, etc. kay Dili maayo pang Gaming ang Sony Vaio og for Editing...Opps! i forgot this two Awesome Gaming Laptop for High Budget User.. Here you can choose either Razer Blade or Alienware (DELL) Brand kung makaya sa imo BUDGET brader.. kana duha wa ko lain masulti ana PinkadaBEST jud na.. pili lng ana nila duha pero kung di madala ad2 nlng pud ka sa Asus RoG or MSI.


2. I was thinking that it's better to use laptop kay ma dala2x ra jud. So unsa man ang pinaka d best nga brand sa multimedia/gaming laptop?
Ans. Yes.. Laptop is Good for Portability.. but HardCore Gamer ka dili pwede sa imo ang Laptop kay since dali madaot ang imo keyboard og mahal ang keyboard replacement ana niya plus battery pa jud.. So kung HardCore Gamer ka pagbuhat nlng imo Desktop RIG budget lng mga 60k Payts nana! For Multimedia Go for Macbook Pro with Retina Display.. i have MSi GT683(ganahan ko sa Design og LED lights sa Edge) if molakaw ko or travel and i have also RIG Desktop for Hardcore Gaming and Multi-tasking like DL Movies, Burn DVD's, etc. kay ma customize mn jud nimo maayo DESKTOP sa pinaka IMBA nga COMPUTER og ma-upgrade nmo near future unlike sa LAPTOP dili pwede customize or ma upgrade. Anyway Soon i'm getting MBP for important Reason...

Though Nindot jud ang ROG for Gaming.. wa jud pud ko kasulti ana infact mao na'y 2nd Choice nako between Razer Blade and Alienware pero unsaon ta man mahal mana duha so dd2 ra jud ko mka afford sa MSi og Asus ROG but i like the style jud sa ROG... for Editing OK pud ang ROG kay overclock mn iya proces but sa Screen resolution di jud nya mapildi ang Retina Display sa MBP..

Yes fragile jud kaayo ang MBP pro BUT IT ALL DEPENDS the user how he/she handle it.. Kung Careless ka, aw! either Maguba imo MBP or kawaton! pero kung dili ka Careless, why not?ka nindot ra sa MBP ah samot na naa ka'y DSLR pertfect partner jud kaayo.. ang Sony nindot lng xa business purpose tska di nmn kaayo sikat Sony run tungod sa daghan mas nindot pa brand og mas affordable kaysa mga Sony VAIO Series...

if you really want a laptop and budget is not an issue then the other poster is right that the best multimedia laptop for content creators is the MBP 15" with Retina Display. It's not the best gaming laptop by any means but it can play games at low to medium settings at lower resolutions because of its gtx650 video card. What makes it a good content creation tool is its beautiful retina display which you can set either best for retina or for more space (although at this setting it will tax the gpu and memory). If you are serious with content creation, upgrade the MBP to at least 512gb ssd and 16gig ram. To facilitate huge video raw files you can compensate the ssd with an external raid0+1 thunderbolt drive.

my sister is an architect although di jud ingon nag practice siya karon but she's partly doing architect stuff. (i don't know what's the term for that)

she's looking for a laptop nga maayo og specs but we barely got an idea about that. important nga software iyang i-run kay AutoCAD jud. then i think Google Sketch Up man siguro nah... something like sketch2 thing. those are the two most important software nga iyang gamit.

iyang concern is kanang paspas ug maayo rag dagan ang laptop bisan magmulti task. aside from all those arki stuff she does, she also opens browser and music player.

i hope makasuggest mo unsa maayo nga laptop. not really best kay kahibaw ko MAC is the best. kanang di ra pud kaayo bug-at sa budget...

if budget is not a problem then Macbook Pro 15" Retina with GTX 775 either user acad for mac or windows (via bootcamp) an naka nindot sa macbook pro retina taas kaau ang resolution gamit kaay for film, 3d or cad, set lang nimo to best resolution setting.
