Hope that this will be the last incident of committing suicide linked to poverty. People should learn to value life. Many people spend too much just to fight for life. We can never escape problems in life but there are ways to solve it. Learn to pause, think and ask help if needed.

can you guys considered the other side of the story para dli biased?
    .. heres my POV,
according to the suicide letter of the girl, naghikog cya para wla nay problema, wla cya kahunahuna na sa iyang kamatayun nag cause cya ug problema ug grief sa iya family?

My point is, dli nato ma basol ang UP sa pag suicide sa babae, still its a stupid decision to commit or even to consider suicide when your down,
if in.ana cya ka smart, then her own conscience should have avoided herself to kill herself, I mean there is always way and compromise,
dli sad.an ang UP pag hikog sa babae, immaturity killed the girl, not poverty.

my point is, there are many young girls who experienced worst than what she experienced,
young girls raped and abused or more destituted than her, pero they continue and fought and wla naghikog.

Maypa ang katong girl sa USJR *** scandal, when asked whether suicide ever crossed her mind, she said "wala jud, why would I mess up this problem by making another mistake?" I read it somewhere in Cebu Daily News katong nagpainterview na siya.

I feel so strongly about this issue that I could not possibly trust myself to make an objective, balanced and well thought-out opinion, so having said that, my thoughts are:

    HILASON RA TONG BAYHANA.

Black shirt day pa kunuhay. There is NOTHING to be proud of what that girl did. She was weak and it was sad enough that there wasn't a soul who cared to talk her out of committing such a stupid act. And their solution? "LEADERS RESIGN". Gihimo na hinuon siyang poster girl para pang rally og riot. And the media makes it look like it's a noble cause. C'mon.

I personally find it rude to kick the dead when they're, you know, dead.

We mustn't condemn people who commit suicide, not when we don't know the factors that caused them to take their own lives. Labeling suicides as "weak" reeks of ignorance, since more often than not, suicidal tendencies are borne from clinical depression--a legitimate illness. Depression isn't something you just snap out of--kanindot ra kung ingon ana ka sayon.

Dili man na HILAS. Wala ka kahebaw unsay mga reasons why naghikog si Kristel. Yaw pag judge daun. Of course na sentionalize man gud sa media na tungod kay wala kabayad sa tuition mao naghikog sya. Think of the other side.

As the eldest, her family have high hopes on her considering she studied UP. And being a teenager is prone to immature decision. Yet there are so many factors to consider why an immature decision came up on her mind that all of us doesn't know. We will never know the root cause. All we have here are speculations.
