Salamat! I enjoyed my vacay sa land of Kpop and kimchi heheh.. pero nakuyawan ko sa immigration gamay since ako ra man usa :P pero nakalusot man may nalang hehehe.
Showmoney- 50k plus as far as I know. Pero the more money you have in the bank, the better it is for you.
All in all cost- sa mutuo mo or dili, I only spent below 20k nayg below 15k pa man gani and that's including everything. I dont take their taxis man. I travel using their local transpo and I made sure that I stayed within the area that I want to visit. I stayed in Gyeongbukgong so duol ra sa mga temples ug palaces nila. I also went to Nami island by commuteI will create a blog pra additional FYI for those who want to travel in SK, backpacker style.
I stayed in SK for 6 days and I'm hoping to go back. The only splurge that I made is when I bought their skincare and make up products. I'm a big fan of it and they are cheap compared to the ones they sell sa Pinas, also there are so many varieties.
Again guys, just post any questions that you have since I traveled recently last Oct of 2012 lang.
Planning to go here next year. Do you have a cost breakdown for accom, transp, food?

Accomodation- 850 per day. 800 x 5= 4000 ( Bulk of my expenses) Name of the hostel is Girl's Generation and they only accept females.
Transpo- it will be dependent on where you would go and how far. The place I stayed is stragetically situated in the city district near Dongdaemun so lakwon rato nako sha ug katong sa Bukchon bagtas man ako show didto hehehe.. Over all I think, I spent 2k or lesser than that for transpo. I did not go for the off beaten path. Farthest I went to was Nami Island and it was still affordable bec I commuted using train. One train ride is around 50 pesos (for one way)
Food- Good thing, I had so many students before that when they knew I was there, nalibre gyud ko ug kaonFood wala kaayo ko kagasto pero I really tried their authentic dishes mostly libre since I have sponsors
Anyhow rough summation if you eat out in a regular restaurant there cheapest meal is 200 pesos up na.
