Toshiba (Hitachi) HDDs Inquiry on Pros & Cons

i forgot to share the big weight on my decision analysis why I opted to choose Toshiba (Hitachi) 2TB HDD above WD RE4 & the Caviar Green... the main reason is power consumption and speed... power consumption of these drives are just some ticks above WD Green and its's faster compared to the WD Green. spindle speed is the same as that of the RE4 @ 7.2K rpm... this HDD from Toshiba (Hitachi) is a semi-Green drive though... it's standby/sleep mode power requirement is just 1W... the requirement of a Green product power consumption @ standby/sleep mode is >1W...

just a quick comparison on the power consumption on my choices...

Toshiba's 2TB:
> read/write @ 6.4W
> idle @ 5.2W
> standby/sleep @ 1.0W

WD Caviar Green 2TB:
> read/write @ 5.3W
> idle @ 3.3W
> standby/sleep @ 0.7W

WD RE4
> read/write @ 10.7W
> idle @ 8.1W
> standby/sleep @ 1.5W
