How to root an android device?

How to root 101

1. download Pdanet for windows here: (ayaw sa isaksak imong fon sa pc)
Download PdaNet+

2. install and follow the instruction carefully

3. when ask to connect your phone please do so (note: be usb bugging is enabled)

4. download this file:
Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v15.7z

5. Extract the download fi "RUNME.BAT" . COMMAND prompt windows will appear. .. hit nyo "1" then enter. (1 is normal rooting kung babasahin nyo)

6. Wait until it ask you to "restore my data" just restore and wait t'ill it says press any key. pag reboot sa imong fon rooted nana.. echeck if naa naba ang super user nga icon.

do these steps apply regardless if unsa imo phone? pwede rani siya sa alcatel 985n? low kaau ko when it comes to tech stuff.thanks in advance for any advices/help

if your on ics or jellybean that may work.
pero sa imong alcatel 985n w/c is most likely not ics/jb dili na na work.
there is a guide posted yesterday sa Symbianize involving flashing a modified boot image
then root w/ superoneclick afterwards.
