It's a Hassle. Maybe because of my bad xp with a life insurance company. Dili lang naku i mention ang name. t'was when my lolo died. Tapos we have his death certificate for claims. Then naglagot mi ky ang gi pangayo sa amo ky birth certificate. wla naman gud birth certificate ako lolo ky panahon pa sa gubat nawala. tsk tsk

It's the insurance company's SOP actually, sad thing is that your lolo's birth cert could no longer be retrieved. I believe there are some documents that could be submitted in lieu of that. Try asking the company Bro. But that does not mean that these companies are running around with those promises unless they are unstable. That's why you must choose those who are stable today and perceived to be stable when their promise becomes due which is few years from now.

I couldn't agree more. It took me sometime to pick an insurance company. I thnk ok sila and stable.

first investment I bought after naka-trabaho ko sauna was a pure life insurance. In fact, I bought another one mga 7 years later sa medyo ni dako na ako position ato na time kay I wan't to increase my coverage. Karon, wala na ko gabayad kay self sustaining na cya...same goes to other members of my family.

A birth certificate is not really a requirement in getting a life insurance plan and there are other documents that you can use in claiming benefits. I guess its very unfair to say nga "hassle" ang life insurance since its really not. Maybe the only consideration that you should take is the reputation and track record of the company.
