base lang sa akong nabasahan ug na investigate about ana if that 970 extreme of yours is an old mobo like gi gamit na nimo way before mag require na ug bios update or better yet check sa ilang site ang latest version sa bios then compare sa current bios sa imong mobo to see if it supports it

970 extreme 3 ako gamit before, never tried it on stock bios, pag palit nako piledriver gi update naman gud nako daan naniguro nalang ko

mga bro...kinsay nka suway ug install ninyo mga bro ug piledriver nga CPU sa katong medyo old mobo na not the latest mobos coz am sure they already put it in the latest BIOS update to support the piledriver CPU's.. me i got an asrock 970 extreme 3 here maybe in the future upgrade ko.. .is it possible nga no need na mo update sa BIOS nko or recommended jud pra mo dagan ang piledriver CPU?

worst case scenario-dili mo boot imo pc. so better update daan bios before upgrading processor. check lang site if imo current bios already has the support for your procie of choice.

^agree to anang kang werty, better update your bios, kay supported man tanan processors sa previous generation/models.

a nice choice for a processor you get a hexacore at great price.

diay naa pay northbridge ang amd karon? last nako gamit kay kadtong 1090T nako(which is still running) naa paman to northbridge ambot lang FX series kung ilang expansion slot controller kay sa CPU like memory bank/pci-e and etc.

whew mai gani ang kani 970 extreme 4 nko dri kay support na.. hasola baya mag update sa bios pag mataimingan brownout patay kang mobo ka!

any suggestion guys kung unsa nga mobo akong paliton? kanang affordable ra. budget gaming rig ra man. hehe. akong plano kuhaon nga procie kay AMD FX-6100. unsa ang barato nga mobo pwede ani nga procie? AM3+ man ang socket..
