So far this what i was able to find, for the software part, still havent found a free one that can do multistream file transfer.. but the closest to having a fast file transfer (ish), is terracopy for windows and preload for ubuntu, naay ultra copier for ubuntu pero not sure about it yet... ill try terracopy tonight, both of this are free... for paid version i would go for altap salamander.. all of this mentioned software integrates sa shell sa OS so wala nay hassle sa user except sa salamander which is 2 pane file manager siya..

well i do have some little concerned if it will affect... on this setup -

External HDD => USB Adapter => USB Hub => Server

di ba kaha mo samot ka hinay since it goes from USB adapter to USB hub then the server?

murag wala ko kasabot how your setup will speed up transfer. you're still (always be) limited by the total bandwidth of your link, which in this case is the USB2 speed. you can break the files anyway you want and stream them simultaneously all you want but those concurrent/multiple streams still share the same, single USB2 bandwidth [480 Mbit/s (effective throughput up to 35 MB/s or 280 Mbit/s) as per wikipedia]. dili man mahitabo nga each individual stream will reach 480Mbps (or 280Mbps) while they're all doing the transfers concurrently on the same USB2 link. or am i missing something?

the idea is not to go beyond the limit of USB 2.0 but since most file transfer are FIFO... thats why i pointed out specifically "multistream" file transfer... mao ni ang gamit nga concept sa mga download accelerator...

possible but not recommended since most of MY HDD has different RPM as what ive understand sa raid dapat pareha silag RPM... correct me if im wrong... pareha ragud ni anang HDD rack for hot swap pero instead of direct connection sa Mobo through USB lang siya...

either way stop sakog research ani kadiyot wa ko naka tulog gabii ug pininsar kung unsaon pag buhat...

bai, makakita ra ngali ka ug difference in transfer speed between a single transfer vs a multi stream/concurrent transfer if the single transfer is unable to saturate/max out your USB2 bandwidth, which is unlikely.
