USE of gorrila pod/ JOBY POD for landscape/ travel photography

Hi Guyz,

Just want to get your comments on using a Gorrila POD/ JOBY POD ( ang original ha, kay if CD r king ayaw nalang..hahah) tripod for travel and landscape photography.

Has anyone tried using it?
Is it enought to get that golden shot?
Is it too limiting because of its low angle or perspective or is it just right because some like shooting it from a low perspective.
Is the weight worth sacrificing the use of extending the tripod to a high perspective/ height?

Im considering of using it kay oftentimes kapoi bitbit ug tripod labi na dili carbon fiber akoang 3pod. Maybe this can be an alternative labi na sa mga short trips na medyo hasol ang tripod na dako. Sa Airport needed pa i check in ang tripod so instead no check in bacggage add on na nuon kog bayad compared sa gorrila pod na masud ra sa bag or ma bit2 ra. Maypagka tapulan pd baya ta..hehehehe

napugos ko ug palit sa CDRking na gorillapod kay nabiyaan nako ako tripod..and so far gamit raman pd kaau if wala jd lain available, diskarte nalang..hehehe

Got the Gorilla Pod SLR Zoom kay I never check in my bags when flying.

Here's a snapshot I took while in Boracay. Poorly composed kay nauwaw nako ani--everyone was looking at me using the weird Gorillapod lol. Gi attach nako ang Gorilla Pod sa poste. Initially had fears on stability, but turned out to be rock soild.



Best advice I can give you is to use it with a ballhead. Makes life easier as far as composition is concerned. Limited ra kaayo ang angles with the Gorilla Pod lang and sapoton lang ka ug adjust para lang ma straighten imung shot. Using Joby's proprietary ballhead ra sad.

I tried the cdrking kay mas stable da akong gorillapod (original) kay gmay man.. Ang cdrking kay dako dako to siya.. So far ok raman ang cdrking, gigamit sad nako pang mount sa MTB nako while ng downhill wla man naguba.

Kung naanad ka sa stability sa tripod ma buwisit ka.
Difficult to adjust. Dugay ka maka-shoot.

hmm so advise ka ani sir mike for landscape shots? taas2 man gud ako travel sa luzon this next few months. nya hasol mag check in2 sa airport. hilig baya ko tuwad para low angle so basin ma angay rasad nako. so CD R king is ok ra? dili raba ma luag dali? hinuon barato raman sad. heheh..wa lang ko ballhead para ani. ngta pako ball head para magamit ni ug mas dali.
