^ korek... kani, dako ni'g matabang sa electricity bill labi na, iCafe or even single desktop but w/ multiple HDDs... use a 2.5" HDD instead of non-green (any brand) 3.5" HDD. nowadays, 2.5" drive's rpm is at 7,200 naman... power consumption wise, dako2x gyud ug difference ning duha...

@TS if i were to build a new setup for cafe use, i will definitely consider getting these procie. combine it with other energy efficient parts, u will save a lot long term. even if its just(if its accurate) P300 savings per unit for 3 years, its still big if u are running a lot of machines.

    IMHO.
C'mon bro. Who said those were on idle? On estimate, the difference between a G840 and a g1620 on LOAD would be about 5w on actual, not 10w as suggested by TDP. On average usage, this value would drop to around 3w.

On IDLE, difference would be less than 1w for cpu alone.

No disrespect, but please internalize the post first before you comment.

TPD is not equal to max power needed to run a component, hence the word "design"

Exactly why TDP was not the consideration in the calculation..

^^ Correct si bro lloyd. If sb imo current proc, not worth it. If new build, definitely a must.
