A God that is made up according to a Man's image is what I see nga naa sa bible and yes I still believe we are made according to the image of a God and I thought that the bible has been corrupted long time ago..

God gave Man one of the greatest privilege w/c is "freewill" but God in the old testament defied that privilege he gave kay He intervened man sa mga activities sa tao punishing them with death in different ways..

you spoke about "right and wrong" and Yes perhaps wala pa au nato magrasp unsay naa sa mind sa usa ka God..
yet the bible said heaven is a place of peace and we know God is all knowing, all seeing, etc. how can heaven be peaceful If God that is all powerful let deluge happen seeing everything on earth suffer?.. if ikaw naa sa heaven bro makakita ka ana would heaven be a peaceful place for you?..

I think deli pata OT ani since this question is supposed to be answered in all christian denominations and yes this I question according to the denomination created by this thread..
the Bible talks about new heaven and earth, it also talks about the passing of heaven and earth
which would mean nga kanang heaven karun lumalabay ra pud na..
it is peaceful though in a way ang naa ngadto kay puro nagglorify ni God, unlike diri sa kalibutan...lahi2x ang gi glorify...
but ang new heaven and earth wihich will rise sa katapusang adlaw...
nig kahuman sa final battle then mao na jud ang eternal peace.
perhaps the reason why we depicted contradictions is we try to measure God with human scale...

regarding absolutes about right and wrong in the eyes of God.
human as we are it is easy for us to question His acts esp the killings, punishment etc
simply because are views about right and wrong has its limits...
in the same way we hated our parents before because we do not understand their ways
esp when the approach we use is of a child...
but when we become parents, when we look at things from a prent's POV
    makasabut ta..
Like from an audience POV martyrdom is cruelty
but to the martyrs it is something beautiful.

mao btaw sahay, suko kaayo tas Ginoo for having us to go through loads of bad stuff
but eventually, thanking Him for allowing pains for we became a better person...

if God was to think the same way we do...i dunno if we would be able to
manouver things as He did...turning our failures into voctories...

for us, what God did was cruelty, who knows for Him it's totally the opposite.

if we are to gauge happenings from our perspective
the term blessings in disguise would have not been invented.

hmmmmmmmm by your statements I believe you are indirectly saying perhaps God have some human traits after all, though we see it quite different way..

Yes you have a point nga naa jud limits ato views for now maybe sooner or later we humans can work it out..

maybe perhaps soon ma acquire na sa Man ang wisdom of God..
