I was once a Sinulog Photography enthusiast and contestant but never did I came to this point of feeling being above others who also wanted to enjoy the spectacle.

Mao gyud naa daghan thought they bought the rights sa Sinulog all to themselves wa kabalo nga sila mismo naka obstruct mismo sa viewing sa regular folks bisan asa nalang they swarm around participants--contingents, higantes, floats and esp the festival queens.
They even elbow each other, sila mismo, some or most of them dili na gani mag huna2x nga naa pud tawn lain nag tan-aw

wa man naluoy tong photographer sa bata.. feel pod kaau tong tawhana dah.. next time pagkuyog jud mo'g laki kung manan-aw para kung nay bikil resbak daun!

why next year? why not next week or next month... kung didto na gud sa hapit na ang event tanan taw busy na... maminaw kaha na sila... nga obvious ra kaayo ang problema... magpadukol pa sila para makabantay...

as a photographer mao pud ni ako reklamo bah.. ako lang breakdown into points.

for photographers:
1.) show some courtesy, dili ra kita nag tanaw sa parade. dili nato babagan ang line of sight sa uban spectators.. kamo gud. d ba mo ma frustrated inu shots gi block sa lain nga photographers.. pwede baya ta shoot kneeling position..

2.) do not go into the dance area.. maluoy mo sa performers, dili baya saun mag sayaw2x with full costume and make-up. lisud au lihok2x sa mga dancers.. ayaw sulod sa kadto gigunitan nga rope nga nag protect sa performers..

3.) ayaw limot.. photography is our passion and also in the spirit of the sto nino.. dili ta mag hangol sa prize money

4.) be aware of your surroundings and your gear, bugat inu gear. luoy au maigo.

to the organizers..

1.) please set dedicated locations for photographers.. we get good shots, you get better crowd control, the spectators get to enjoy more..

2.) be strict on crowd control.. kulang ra au to pisi-pisi.. close more roads to accomodate foot traffic.. grabe ka guot sa baseline kay mga sakyanan gi pang bilin sa tunga sa kalsada.

3.) increase the registration fee for photographers.. to filter out the serious photographers from sa mga samok2x ra.. make better rules and regulations. dapat apil disqualification sa mga uncourteous persons

4.)place designated crossing areas.

to the spectators;

1.) ayaw sab pagtinukloday. ayaw lampas sa pisi. apil bya mi photgraphers ma ipit. we know amo gears kay heavy and may cause injury sa lain. tungod kay ma tuklod mi. d namo ma pugngan aha mu tabyog amo mga gear.

2.) dili au advisable dal-on mga bata sa mga sikit2x nga lugar(especially baseline area). and please bring food and water.. magkaguot samot during emergency. (pila na ka bata na kuyapan ako nakita during sinulog)

kita tanan just wanted to enjoy the festival.. lets always remember that we should also consider that the next guy also wants to do the same..
