1 Pet 2:19-23 (Phi) A man does a fine thing when he endures pain, with a clear conscience towards God, though he knows he is suffering unjustly. After all, it is no credit to you if you are patient in bearing a punishment which you have richly deserved! But if you do your duty and are punished for it and can still accept it patiently, you are doing something worthwhile in God's sight. Indeed this is your calling. For Christ suffered for you and left you a personal example, so that you might follow in his footsteps. He was guilty of no sin... Yet when he was insulted he offered no insult in return. When he suffered he made no threats of revenge. He simply committed his cause to the One who judges fairly.

Hardships are God's instrument to test how firm we are
in following what should be righteous,
following the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you - depending on how you respond to them.

Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their problems rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring.

Here are five ways God wants to use the problems in your life:

    1. God uses problems to DIRECT you - Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways." Pr. 20:30 (GN)

    2. God uses problems to INSPECT you - People are like teabags if you want to know what's inside them, just drop them into hot water! Has God ever tested your faith with a problem? What do problems reveal about you?

When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience. (James 1:2-3, NCV)

    3. God uses problems to CORRECT you - Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something - health, money, a relationship - by losing it.

It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws. (Ps. 119:71-72, LB)

    4. God uses problems to PROTECT you - A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend of mine was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem - but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when his boss actions were uncovered.

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good . (Gen. 50:20, NIV)

    5. God uses problems to PERFECT you. - Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you're going to take with you into eternity.

We can rejoice when we run into problems they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. (Rom. 5:3-4, LB)

Here's the point: God is at work in your life - even when you do not recognize it or understand it. But it's much easier and profitable when you cooperate with Him!

God Will Test the Believers bro! It is in God's plan for our lives to test us.

God will test us in order to:
    1) REFINE US - This rids us of false beliefs, idle dreams, worthless attitudes and things that holds us back
Psalm 66:8-12 - "Praise our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard; he has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping. For you, O God, tested us: you refined us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance."
Lamentations 3:27 - "It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young."
Isaiah 48:10, "See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction."
Daniel 11:35, "Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time."
    2) STRENGTHEN US - Just like lifting weights makes the physical body's present strength becomes stronger.
    3) PROVED GENUINE - No one wants to buy a new car without driving it and getting to experience the ride and the power

Sa akoa pud bro, that is not always the case. Dunay tragedies that is caused by people like car accidents, flood caused by kaingin, bombing, etc. duna sad we call nature’s wrath which for me, willed by God like typhoon, volcanic eruption, earthquakes, etc. to remind us that life on earth is but temporary, dili taw ang nagbuhat ana. Sa imoha bro, unsa/kinsa kaha ang cause if for example dakdakan ang kalibutan ug asteroid like in Jupiter? Is it Nature, Humans, or GOD who wills it to happen nga maimpas tang tanan?

God is always there who is able to carry us through life's ups and downs. We will always be safe if we're in God's hands.

Nganu wa may believers nga nag Believers may gi test in the first place. Unsaon diay nimu pagkabalo if nakat-on imung student sa imung gi discuss nga lesson?
