Ask ko ehy catholics are soo much devoted to the black nazarene even if they didn't exist in the bible? There's only one God, but why man murag God na to? Mag-ilog para makapahid lang sa lawas sa statue. Dunno why?

why are we so devoted to the Holy Trinity when its not also in the bible? Lol
anyways, Yes there is only one God, the Black nazarene is the image of Jesus carrying a cross
a statue or image portraying the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ

the devotees rush to it kay perhaps it is believed to be miraculuos or perhaps
just something they promised God to do whenever its the feast of the black nazarene.
or perhpas in faith that at least through the black nazarene, they can get a glimpse of Jesus
can't really speak on the devotees behalf though..i just stated the common reasons.

perhaps it's something like this, picture yourself on a concert of your favorite band
then you get the chance to touch them...what would you do?

personally i would celebrate both..
celebrate birth through merry songs and a happy moments(like what we have during Christmas season)
celebrate His death by being forever Thankful by claiming His salvation
and trying to be Faithful by following His commandments in His grace.

--it's not just God sir, also Jesus. For he has been given all authority in heaven & earth by God, remember? We all subject to Jesus. It's a God-given authority, it doesn't mean that if he can do it, he is God. He's just been given the authority, for Christ himself is still subject to God:

1 Corinthians 15:27-28 - "For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.
