sirs/maams,
What is this thing called "papers" of dogs/puppies?
I have grown up with dogs around me. Most with great breeds and some really mixed up but none are askals. Nonetheless, dogs are lovable creatures.
I have had this long lingering question:
I am new to the dog "papers" scene. when a dog or puppy is sold or exchanged and "papers" are involved. What does it really entail or mean?
Is it the vet-card thing that indicate the shots and vaccinations given?
Or is the "papers" a validated sheet verifying lineage and line of the specific dog. Sort of a family tree of a dog line.
I just bought a pup yellow lab early this month. The seller(korean) has a helper who is my contact and said the puppy is with papers in the text message. I am certain the puppy was born here, I spoke with the korean, and the parents of the pup came with them here from korea. The pup is such an adorable and ultra super energetic harassing puppy. Smothers you all the time. She is just so sweet of a puppy. She is huge now, yet, only 3 months old.
When I got the pup, I only got the vet-card. Still I was uncertain what the "papers" is. And if its the vet-card really, then I find that the "papers" flashing for dogs is lame. And the "papers" itself is lame. If it is that vet-card. If I am wrong, please correct me. I would really appreciate the gesture.
What are they really? I hope someone can enlighten me. thank you.
Thank you very very much.
