It's a paradox of sorts... Maybe there is an aspect about their relationship that you don't see. Maybe it just doesn't take a nice guy to treat a girl like a princess or she wouldn't have come back to him. It could probably be that subconsciously girls WOULD want a nice guy but no nice guy had ever made her feel like that so she resorts to ending up with that brute.

If you're a nice guy, then go ahead and make her feel like a princess. Some nice guys I know are just NICE. And the reason they don't end up in relationships is that they don't risk. Girls love the chivalric touch---guys who would break the barrier towards a romantic relationship.

Chivalric touch? I would like to say something here. Chivalry was too mainstream a decade ago or further ago. Guys doing all the favors for the girl, Guys doubled their efforts for the girls. <--- The media and our culture has a great influence on how filipinos view relationships and dating, but for me... sa akoa lang ha, and I don't know if someone out there shares the same thought that I have right now. Being chivalric is like.. giving up a mans power to put a woman into a pedestal which basically goes without saying "Pathetic kaayo" when in reality, dapat balanced ang relationship when it comes to a lot of things.

I've never been in this situation before really, It's just my observation while I was growing up. I don't usually talk about these matters in public kay sensitive au ni nga question, I get slapped for being misogynistic when I asked questions like these on girls.


I grew up having only a couple of girls in my life for the past 15 years before, I'm too nerdy and I'm interested on unusual hobbies. MTG and Geeky stuff for example. hehe
