Positive Point of View... PPOV: Ang bisaya kay hospitable kaau ug accommodating kaau. Dili na mu paki sa language barrier and mu adjust sa ilang mga visitors to make them feel at home. Humble kaau ta. Whereas ang mga Manileno kay dili.

    ^^ This

Because we have so many languages (Bisaya is a language, not just a dialect) in one country, and we cannot expect everyone to be able to speak all the languages, there has to be one national language that everyone has to know to facilitate understanding between two groups with different languages. Manuel L. Quezon decided it was to be Tagalog, and you can't blame him. He probably didn't know any other local language.

In recent years, our national language was changed to Filipino. Filipino is predominantly Tagalog with more words from the other local languages added in.

The reason most Manileņos/Tagalogs don't speak Bisaya is because they don't know it. It wasn't taught to them. At home their parents spoke only Tagalog. In school, they were only taught both English and Filipino. You can't speak something you don't know and that's the simple truth. Forget about Harry Potter who can speak Parseltongue and didn't know he could. That was fiction, this is reality.

As an Ilonggo, I say we should be more understanding of Tagalogs and we should actually feel sorry for them. We Probinsyanos are lucky we can speak three or more languages, plus dialects, most Tagalogs know only two.
