the ff verses refers to the living saints which we can freely consider ourselves as one, as part of Christ's church
that's why we ask each other to intercede and pray for one another.
what differece does it make with the departed saints when we ask them to pray for us?
knowing that they are now in the hands of God nonlonger bound by earthly pleasures and sin.
" A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. " - 2nd Amendment , Bill of Rights of the United States of America
What is idolatry?
i·dol·a·try
1 : the worship of a physical object as a god
2 : immoderate attachment or devotion to something
Pictures, and carved images of saints are to be regarded in the same way we treat the pictures/images of our friends or families. When we honor these images in church, we do it in honor of the person it represents. We do not honor the piece of paper or the piece of wood to which it is made of. Likewise, we dont worship it as something with the attributes of God.
Same logic:
When we keep printed pictures of our parents in our room, we keep them in honor of our parents. We are not attached to those pieces of paper. Rather, it is our parents who come to our minds when we see their images printed on paper.
In the same idea, we don't think those PIECES OF PAPER as our parents. And with the same logic we don't see carved images and pictures of saints as gods either.
60 MILLION CHRISTIANS ? ? ?
Your false history has been debunked by honest historians, brother. I am not sure if perpetuating falsehood is an offical doctrine of Protestantism, but it seems so, with your Satanic falsehood and exaggerated claims. If the Pope has ordered the death of 60 Million, nobody would be left in Europe at that time.
Let us set the records straight:
Catholic Inquisitions = five to six thousand people were convicted and sentenced to die in the ENTIRE duration (take note:six centuries) of the Inquisition ALL OVER EUROPE, including the secular courts.
Mary Tudor == executed 300 Protestants
60 MILLION IS A TOTAL CHRISTIAN DISHONESTY IN YOUR PART.
NOW, LET'S SEE PROTESTANT "CHRISTIAN LOVE":
King Henry VIII of England = 72, 000 Catholics
Elizabeth ("The Good Queen Bess") == 50, 000 Catholics
-she initiated the Catholic Holocaust in England
Irish Holocaust == FIVE POINT SIX MILLION IRISH WERE STARVED BY PROTESTANTS
---the very Christian way of the protestant monarch of britain to convert ireland to protestantism but failed.
BLACK SLAVERY -- initiated by protestants in the US despite a papal ban on slavery.
Mao nay reason we should stick to what Jesus said whom to pray
They were PERSONALLY Choosen by Jesus which is the son of God and the only one who can read and know whats inside our hearts. You cant compare it to people who are chosen by people that are Not even certain of themselves if God approve what they are doing, big difference.
We will leave this one as "Open for interpretation"
If we cant even know for ourselves if GOD approves what we feel and did, how much more for other people?
For example kadtung prostitute sa Bibliya nga gibato, If si Kristo ni ingun kung kinsa tong walay sala maoy una mubato, nga wala tay katungod mu Judge sa lain tawo based sa ilang DAUTAN nga gibuhat kay ang Ginoo ray nakahibalo - I think its the same when we say if that person is GOOD and already went to heaven because of what he did. Judgement does not only applied sa pagka dautan, it is applied when u say something about a person based on what you see which is Not enough.
As i said, according to the Bible God is the only ONE that can see whats in our hearts and Mind - And i will stick to that
Mao nay reason we should stick to what Jesus said whom to pray
Bisag unsa pana nga process of tawo ray nagbuhat ana, dako ghapon chance di na perfect. How can you say insakto ang process labi na ug mag involve of FAITH, CONSCIENCE, FEELINGS, THINK - nga wala may tawo makabasa ana KUNDI ang Ginoo. Theres a reason why Jesus told us NOT to JUDGE kay wa tay ability to SEE other peoples heart bisag atu kaugalingon di paman gani tah maka hibalo. The Bible is a Guide, but it also says nga ang Dios ray naay KATUNGOD to say kinsay tarung ug dili.
I dont know and you dont know also, so Ill stick to what Jesus said because if he says so meaning its ENOUGH na para madungog atung pag ampo. Saints do pray Doesnt mean we can pray to them and they will hear us.
Jesus told us the our father, and he said Baptise them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. For me its enough na pero if kinahanglan kag lain entity to bring your prayers to God then its up to you.
I have no question with the process coz i respect that, my question is with the IDEA and Concept of Sainthood.
Thats why we should follow what Jesus Said about directly praying to God who is already and confirm that is in Heaven.
