in the same manner, muslims thought Jesus is an idol.
your statement is no better than just another POV because i am Catholic and i do not worship idols.
as far as the Catholic Church teaching is concerned, the church does not teach that statues /saints should be worshipped.
i may have somehow sinned against idolatry
not becuase i worship saints, but because of circumstances that somehow takes the rightful place of Jesus in my life.
unless you haven't experienced this, please cast the first stone.
it is easy for us to call muslims terrorist when we havent read the quran,or have fellowship with muslims
in the same way that it is easy to label Catholics worship idols when we don't know the fullness of Catholicism.
please refer to my reply with siodenz's post.it may give you insights![]()

i have experienced this pud...my usual response would be"o ayg kalimti si Jesus, kay siya maoy atong manluluwas, ang mga santos, prehas ra na nato, nag ampo pud ni Jesus.."in a way nga dili preachy ug pina joke2x lang...but the way we rebuke people really depends on the situation

again, i am not saying all Catholics understood that Jesus is the only way...in the same way that not all protestants know that Catholic church does not teaches the worship of idols.
BUT i can assure you as a Catholic, there is nowhere in the Catholic doctrine that teaches Jesus isn't the ONLY way.
Hope we see the difference.
perhaps you're blessed you're not that desperate as the others who cry even in front of a statue.
yep, it looks funny, esp if we do not see what's really going on inside their hearts and in their lives.
donations are needed for the upkeep of church facilities...whether for the parish or the mother church(vatican)
i think we can all agree nga donations are not imposed, and that any amount will do plus we are not even obliged to do so...
it's a matter of conviction...plus any org(religious or non-religious) should come up with ways to raise funds for the org's financial assistance. it's just natural.
what's not natural if the church funds goes into the church leader's pockets...
is it our concern? technically no...as what Jesus said, they have already been paid in full...
for sure, somehow and somewhere..they have got to pay their dues...and so do we if we pass a wrong judgement to other people.
bai, if those people are really lost, then Jesus wouldn't mind being disrespected,
after all, He was even willing to be crucified for people who do not believe in Him.
what would bother Jesus, is how we treat each other.if you see your brother who is lost..
would you rather laugh at him than be compassionate and loving?
i know daghan medyo libug2x nga Catholics but naa bay perfect nga church diri sa kalibutan?
ang church nga mosulti nga Catholics worship idols without even having a full understanding of its practices, dogmas and doctrines,
would that church be considered a perfect church? again...WALA.
our God is perfect but we ain't we're meant to help and pray for each other instead of bashing at each other's weaknesses.
