Lain man gyud akong pag bati basta ang "freebies" is too good that it can be considered in the decision making, murag magduda man gyud ko sa value sa real item nga dapat paliton..

The government should buy intelligently based on the need, not on a perceived need of the freebies.

MBT? do you know that most of our bridges have maximum tonnage of 15 tons?, some of our APC during the Lanao Campaign of 2000 have to go arround kay some bridges cant take their weight...

MBT are perfect for open battlefield something we dont have here... stop watching too much videos.. and start thinking realistically... but if we are to discussed between tracked vs wheeled... will id prefer tracked but not necessarilly MBT!!

and btw... try using your tank on rice paddy... diba sitting duck na... the americans learned that the hardway during the vietnam war and some parts of irak...

if get an MBT you also need to get the suport vehicle... bridge layer, recovery vehicle....

onething i learn sa startup weekend... the idea is irrelevant until validated... your idea is irrelevant i just invalidated it...

If that is really "free" then why not. We could still use a couple more APC's and FH-70 howitzers to help defend our nation. Worse case scenario is that we have spare parts for our existing M311's. These are all good from my point of view as long as there is no additional cost on the original price tag of the "Italian Package" (Maestrale-class ships, medium-lift fixed wing aircraft (C27J-Spartan), special mission aircraft and three naval helicopters).

    Nindot na ni.

Boss, dli mana personalay akoa. Siya man nang insulto nako. Please read his post. "stop watching too much videos"? "and start thinking realistically" these statement is considered an insult. Unsay pag too niya nako nag cge ra ug tan-aw ug video? Paminawa iyang statements diba pina arogante pag ka sulti which is unprofessional ba.

Pwede man unta cya mu ingun nga "can u explain further why you think the Philippines needs to buy MBT?"
Now, would that be more professional?

i don't see it as an insult.you just don't know how to handle it.this isn't a fantasy thread and buying military hardware isn't easy as you think. let me give you an example...i have to submit papers just to justify my request to purchase of gps units for our office.how much more if you want to buy a main battle tank which you have to consider a lot of things not just the price tag.

wala man sad sila nag ingon sakto sila.some are more knowledgeable than you when it comes to this sort of topic either through training, professional experience and through research that made them post intelligently.some kids here think that this is a wishlist for santa claus or a ranting thread.please take time to read previous post para dili lang ka diretso ambak sa itsorya.

basin reklamo na pud ka na insulto ni ako post.

Thanks 7DMM. That's my point. Your statements are far more professional than his. Your definition of an insult may be subjective since an insult to me may not be an insult to you. And also kanus-a gud ko nag reklamo dri sa istorya sukad nga wla man gyud. I enjoy browsing threads, reading someones opinions, make friends, sharing my opinion, etc... but i never posted a reply that can insult or offend anybody until now. Karon lang lang kay nag post lang gani ko ug opinion then naay ni reply nga para nako insulto because I am offended. So I threw it back at him. If a person has superior knowledge over another then good for him. But that doesn't give him the right to insult another person. There are more than a thousand ways to communicate without making such offending remarks.

OT na ta. Sorry MODS. Again, thanks 7DMM and I am in no way offended by your post.

for me..its not a freebie its actually part of the package..so gipalit ni nato on a lower price, it would be nice if some of the minervas class boats are also include in the package as we needed more vessel to patrol our EEZ,,.

    is Panatag is still OURS?

part sa ilang pag pili ug military equipment is the cost of maintaining the assets.. with M113 apc..they can for sure take care of those.. familiar na sila ani nga APC..
