Default The ART FARM PROJECT ....saving street children one at a time

I have this idea that if I take 10 street children
    house them,
    feed them,
    teach them values,
    teach them basic life skills
(such as washing, cooking, cleaning repairing plumbings and fixing basic electrical problems).
    teach them art skills
such as drawing, painting, t-shirt printing , computer graphic arts
then they will gain better self confidence and improve their self worth.
Then they become productive part of the society.
Maybe their artworks will be sold and part of the proceeds is set aside to finance the program
the rest goes back to the children.

I need volunteers for this program.
What can you contribute for this program.
    I need committed support.

I already have a lot in Asturias, it is deliberately away form city vices for the rugby and vulcaseal sniffers.

    please express your support here.

    Have you heard about DSWD?

This is a huge project. I suggest you support DSWD instead. I believe people in this department have studied what to do with these people. You might make street children more dependent with people providing them their needs.

lets just focus on how to do it.
    problems are always there.
but i think the idea is worth a try.
i already have a lot in asturias. it is on a rocky hill just 50 meters by the road.
about 1,000 sq meters. i have to convince my bro and sis that i use it for this project.
a big nipa house probably 3 to 6 rooms to house 10 kids and 2 guardians/teachers.
probably a 2 storey nipa house.

so the first stage is to build the house.
lets all plan for the house.

here's what the house should have.

1.it have to have 2 decent but simple comfort rooms.
one for the kids and one for the guardian. one on the ground floor for the kids and one on the second floor for the guardians

2.a sala that also works as a classroom. there's no tv in the sala. no tv in this house. this promotes creativity and uses "tv time" for a more productive activity. tv to some children can also be addictive. hours will be wasted on watching violent anime's. and dumb cartoons which are edgy and doesnt promote good values.

3.a kitchen and a food storage room where supplies are stored.

4.a tool room where all important things are stored with padlock and keys. probably on the second floor for security reasons.

    5. an art storage room where they store all their art works and art materials. with lock and key too. also probably on the second floor.

    6. a wash area, where all clothes are washed and hanged to dry.
this could also be a spare shower/bath room

    7. 2 bedrooms that could have 5 kids each room. 3 double decked beds on each room.

    8. 2 guardian rooms upstairs.

need more ideas for the house.
Again this is a serious project
    we need ideas
so refrain from throwing in jokes or unnecessary comments.

the problem with institutions is they lack the heart.
they lack the passion for their project.
and when you lack the passion, you only see what is lacking.
but you can always find ways if you have the passion for it.
if theres a will theres a way-- as the saying goes.

see here you are again. try to tell me to stop dreaming and let the dswd do their job.

did you understand the actual plan?

i said we teach the children to get skills so they can make money out of it.
thats teaching them to be self supportive.
they will earn their own money in this project.

how could that make them dependent?

there's this negativity again that i sense from you.
    you have to think positive.
    i have to think positive.
i know there are people out there who would instantly say give up doc.
    you can not do it.

but those are just programs working on their minds.
i on the other hand ignore these bad programs.

    i focus on my goal.
i know i can do this.

This is indeed a noble intention and I admire your courage.

First thing first I'd like to stress that there are factors that needs to be considered in this project.

    Such as...

    1. Consent of Parents ( not all streetchildren are orphans.)
    2. Age limit
    3. How to convince them (streetchildren)
    etc...

This will involve a lot of hardwork and conviction to make it a successful journey thus entails proper planning.

I cand lend some assistance on this but prefer to discuss the matter in private.

    Goodluck!
