on topic, thich nhat hanh's practice focuses on mindfulness. atheist, yes. buddhism in general do not teach about an all-knowing god or creator. teachings are very practical and ethical.

perhaps. one nice thing a monk said is that in this practice, we do not say we are the only ones who are right, or that we have all the answers, or that we are the best.

i also have a brother who considers himself as an aetheist and friends who don't believe in God...i respect their POVs but still i pray for them..

haha dili mani para sa mga atheist, para ni sa mga theist, but if i was a theist this is how i would answer it..

asking if God can lift a heavy stone that he cant carry is a valid argument.. if we are talking about God that is everything like Spinoza's God then the answer would be, NO, for if God is everything then inorder for Him to make a heavy stone that he would carry he would then have to make it outside himself, then making something outside himself will be impossible since if God is everything then he can only make something within himself, so if it is within himself he can very well indeed carry it.

But when we talk about an omnipotent God then the answer is YES, but God being all powerful can always make and take gravity so as to aid him in carrying it, so in some degree he can always carry the stone notwithstanding it's massive weight.. but weight might not exist in God's all powerful mind for it too is just a product of human language to explain the amount of the objects effect on gravity to which God created in the first place..
