nope. it was just in response to what you posted that if we were muslims..

and if i was a muslim...for sure Islam would be the true religion for me..
but that does not really follow i am right, right? 'cause we can only hope that we are correct in what we believe in..
and defend and argue what we believe is true..

same principle can be applied to all sorts of religion even with aetheism.

no question about my faith bro...i believe in Christianity in the same manner that muslims believe in Islam..
but it is just a matter of finding out what is the truth...

i hope our muslim brothers and sisters will not be offended by this
but with Islam, there are certain countries, nation or pundok...hehe
who practice prohibition of studying other belief systems, of course NOT ALL muslims do this ha...
    but with Christianity,although
naay mga prejudice, cultural issues ug unsa pa na, though we don't encourage it..but for the sake of
searching souls...we do not prohibit such act...that's why we have converts to islam, other religion...
that's why most aetheists are from catholicism or any christian denomination...
and in Christianity, the best demonstration of Love is to let go diba?like the the Father let go of His only Son for His love for us.

prehas nako bro, i was not born a practicing Christian or whatever this state that i'm in now...
i once hated God, the church and the religious...but 'cause of the freedom i have with Christianity
i was able to find my way back of course with God's grace if you don't mind..hahaha

that's why as much as possible..dili jud unta ta mo istorya ug patapos.
stating that i am a Christian and i believe that Christianity is true is merely a statement
or a declaration of my faith...it is not a statement of absolute truth...'cause in the end
we can only hope that our faith is inlined with the Truth.

"Jesus predicted coming of Prophet Mohammed" in Bible found in Turkey
source: "Jesus predicted coming of Prophet Mohammed" in Bible found in Turkey

A 1,500-year-old Bible in which Jesus is believed to have foretold the coming of the Prophet Mohammed to Earth has attracted attention from the Vatican this week.

Pope Benedict XVI has reportedly requested to see the book, which has been hidden in Turkey for the last 12 years, according to the Daily Mail.

The text, reportedly worth $22 million, is said to contain Jesus’ prediction of the Prophet’s coming but was suppressed by the Christian Church for years for its strong resemblance to the Islamic view of Jesus, Turkish culture and tourism minister Ertugrul Gunay told the newspaper.

“In line with Islamic belief, the Gospel treats Jesus as a human being and not a God. It rejects the ideas of the Holy Trinity and the Crucifixion and reveals that Jesus predicted the coming of the Prophet Mohammed,” the newspaper reported.

“In one version of the gospel, he is said to have told a priest: ‘How shall the Messiah be called? Mohammed is his blessed name.’

“And in another, Jesus denied being the Messiah, claiming that he or she would be Ishmaelite, the term used for an Arab,” the newspaper added.

According to the report, Muslims claim the text, which many say is the Gospel of Barnabas, is an addition to the original gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John.

St. Barnabas is traditionally identified as the founder of the Cypriot Church, an early Christian later named an apostle.

Gunay said the Vatican has officially requested to see the book, which Turkey had discovered during a police anti-smuggling operation in 2000.

The gang was reportedly convicted of smuggling various items seized during the operation, including the Bible, and all the artifacts were kept in a safe at an Ankara courthouse.

It remained closely guarded by authorities before being handed over to the Ankara Ethnography Museum where it will soon be put on show.

A photocopy of a single page from the leather-bound, gold-lettered book, penned in Jesus’ native Aramaic language is reportedly worth about $2.4 million.

But skepticism over the authenticity of the ancient handwritten manuscript has arisen.

Protestant pastor İhsan Özbek has said this version of the book is said to come from the fifth or sixth century, while St. Barnabas had lived in the first century as one of the Apostles of Jesus.

“The copy in Ankara might have been written by one of the followers of St. Barnabas,” he told the Today Zaman newspaper.

“Since there is around 500 years in between St. Barnabas and the writing of the Bible copy, Muslims may be disappointed to see that this copy does not include things they would like to see … It might have no relation with the content of the Gospel of Barnabas,” Özbek added.

But suspicions could soon be laid to rest.

The real age of the Bible could soon be determined by a scientific scan, theology professor Ömer Faruk Harman told the Daily Mail, possibly clarifying whether it was written by St. Barnabas or a follower of his.

1500 old text, which means it was written some time in 500AD..
the canon gospels were written at least 50-101AD jovs.

our muslim brothers and sisters, thought Jesus was making a prediction of the prophet muhammad when He said
to His disciples that He will send a Helper, while christians believed Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit.

The Disciples of Jesus were Hiding and fearful of the Jews and the Romans
after Jesus was crucified, if Jesus had not resurrected and appeared to them..they would have remained fearful
thus saving them from martyrdom for spreading the gospel which you can verify with history.
If Jesus was talking about the prophet muhammad when he speaks of a helper..
then Christianity would not have spread successfully through Jesus' disciples and early Christians before prophet muhammad came in the picture.
in fact in the early days of muhammad, his family lived among Christian refugees

the Help that every Christian needed, came forth in a form of spirit on the day of pentecost to the early Christians
which changed entirely the early Christian church from fearful into something very opposite.
as you can see, despite of the many criticisms, attacks, opposition..the fruits of their actions stands
till this very day, and as per statistics..Christianity is ranked as the largest belief system.

but again, i am speaking from a Christian's perspective, i'm sure muslims can explain themselves better
why they believe Jesus was talking about the prophet muhammad.

Man that Uses Science is inconsistent NOT science itself. Man that tries to explain the Science used by God is the ONE who always commit mistakes... Man Did Not invent Science, Man only translate what is around him based on his own understanding. The Science of Gravitational Pull is Already there - Man just discovered and explain it, He did Not create the gravity. Mao na ako pasabot

aw... Individually inconsistent maybe, collectively efficient probably..

you criticize scientists as inconsistent yet we are living the fruits of their labor and discoveries as we speak.. inorder to attain appreciation to the creation of God i believe that we have to understand it,. lahi jud ang level of appreciation nga ma attain sa tawo if nakasabot siya.. the way i understand it, it is not against the will of God for man to discover science as he created it..

there are two kinds of truth.. Philosophical truth and Physical truth.. the bible with all it's glory is a source fountain for philosophical truth, it can give you a lot of answers, but such answers are on the philosophical level only much like Socrates' and Plato's teachings.. Science on the other hand though not a good source for spiritual comfort can show you physical non-abstract answers (give and take) if you just take the time to understand it,. Man should not confuse himself between the two..

I am living on a self sustaining planet that was created by God to Sustain mans need. I dont believe that God created a planet that LACKS something that we need some scientist to CREATE it. Scientist did NOT create something out of nothing, They just discover some things that's already around us. I have no questions regarding studying or using Science, my point is SCIENTIST and their theories are proven time and time again that will always commit mistakes - That i will Not base my belief on that inconsistencies.

Ang yes, God teach us to use our brain to study things or use science and apply it. But everyone of us will agree that Mans knowledge of SCIENCE is limited and cannot explain everything therefore cannot be the ULTIMATE basis of truth.
