our lungs can only process air(with oxygen in it)
water is H2O, so there is 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen atom...so if our body can filter out the oxygen or separate the oxygen in H2O then probably we can use it to breath.![]()

The reason we cannot breathe liquid water is because the oxygen used to make the water is bound to two hydrogen atoms, and we cannot breathe the resulting liquid. The oxygen is useless to our lungs in this form.
