I read in a U.S. Magazine na Mel Gibson was so excited after reading about The Gospel of Judas that the 1st thing he did after reading was to call Robert Downey Jr.Â* Gibson told him that " You are my Judas ".Â* Â*He's planning to do a movie about it and I wonder if moabot ni sa Pinas if and when it's done.Â* Am sure naay gusto mo ban ani.Â* What dya think mga bro ?

Vatican I established the doctrine of papal infallibility when the Pope speaks ex cathedra. To be a Catholic in communion with the Church, one must accept everything issued ex cathedra including those statements in Vatican I (and Vatican II) with which you may not agree.

This is not a democracy. God is not an elected official. His laws are the law. His servant on earth is the Pope. We, as individuals, regardless of how earnest we may be, are not free to pick and choose what elements of the Faith to which we want to adhere, and what elements we want to ignore.

I spent nearly 11 years away from the Church because I lived with that attitude. It wasn't until I realized, if I disagree with the Church, I have to figure out why. Once I did that, I realized that, in every issue with which I had an agrument with the Church, it was I that was in error.

GOSPEL OF JUDAS’: AN IDEOLOGICAL ATTACK AGAINST THE CHURCH, SAYS ARGENTINEAN ARCHBISHOP

Buenos Aires, May 02, 2006 (CNA) - During his television program, “Keys to a Better World,� Archbishop Hector Aguer of La Plata, Argentina, said this week that the controversial “gospel of Judas� is part of an “ideological attack� against the Catholic faith and the Church.

“It seems anti-Catholicism sells well, which shows there is also a commercial venture at work� the archbishop said. “This is not because of the dynamism of the market, nor is it by coincidence,� he warned. “It is obvious that the commercial venture-the business-and the ideological venture are very much connected, and we need to remember that and be aware of all this.�

Archbishop Aguer noted that the contents of the “gospel of Judas� “have been known for at least 1800 years� and the text has always been considered part of the apocryphal writings of “a Gnostic sect where Christian truths, philosophical doctrines and, most especially, oriental mysteries were all mixed together, and the Church condemned it rapidly.�

The Gnostic ideology consisted of “an attack on the God of the Bible, with a strong anti-Jewish tendency. Against all of this they exalted the supreme god of the Gnostics and Judas was a key figure in the struggle against that Biblical God who they considered a Semitic God,� the archbishop explained.

“Now the ‘gospel of Judas’ is presented as if it had just been discovered, when in reality St. Iraneus of Lyon, in his work against the heresies in the year 180, had already unmasked this false gospel,� he said in conclusion.

Dan Brown is part of a sinister conspiracy to discredit the Catholic Church. These groups are power hungry people and they want the papacy destroyed. Part of the spin that these people are spreading is that the Catholic Church is formed as a means to consolidate power.

These are desperate and very dangerous people. The evils that is spreadiing in the world today is caused by these people. These people have pagan beliefs and they want to recover a lost ground.

Just off-topic ha.. what about katong mga Catholic Priests nga nagpabadlong?? Nang-rape, manulod ug bar, etc.. Part sad na sila sah imung gi ingon nga Conspiracy to discredit the Catholic Church? Hasn't it been discredited enough already sah mga pabadlong aning ilang clergy?
