yep stars are born everyday and stars also die everyday..does it discredit God's existence?
is it because of what the bible say about how the universe or earth was created?
i think that is not to be taken literally..'cause in the first place, we don't really know if the author of Genesis
meant it literally..1 day for God could be a million years 'cause God is not really bound by time is He?
anyway, you still havent answered my question...How reliable is your source?
qouting the reason for us getting education so that we can think logically(by logically you mean not to believe in something at least proven) then how can you believe that there is no God? when it hasn't been proven either?

i hope you are not equating believers to being unreasonable and illogical(in a negative way).
how would you reconcile the great minds both in history and present in Science and Logic who believed that there is God..some of them even believed in a personal God... Like CS Lewis who converted from aetheism to Christianity..are you saying that his convertion was out of ignorance and failure in Logic? if you are an aetheist for sure you know who anthony flew is? though not a Christian but was awed by the complexities and specifics of the universe..therefore concluding that there is indeed an intelligent design..
prayer--yes--God is good,prayer--no--God works in mysterious ways..
how many times have you experienced "blessing in disguise" where you previously hated and even ashamed of what happened...
but eventually as time goes by, you find yourself thanking that it happened..'cause it actually made you a better person...
isn't that a mystery?
about Abraham sacrificing His Son,did you know that when He was about to Sacrifice His son...God's angel stopped Him?
it is of the same concept where you had to give up your most treasured something in this world to follow God..
in Abraham's case, Isaac was His most treasured one, as He is His first born espically in his old age..
we too have many Isaac in our lives...for example...we need to give up our love for money...to be free from greed...
as we are to lay down our pride to understand humility...
as others qoute "to prove how much you love a person is that you must be willing to let that person go"
and "best part of holding on is letting go"...
Abraham on the contrary was not like many of us today, He was willing to let his only son go for the sake of His Love for God..
in which He believes who owns everything he ever had...and in return, God blessed Him in a thousand folds..even called as the Father of all Nation..
in the same way that the person who works hard in an honest way, gave up greed...achieved success in life...
in the same the humble is praised.
the same concept also applies to God giving His Only Son just to prove that you and i are very dear to Him.
Logically speaking if God owns everything and can give Abraham anything...
then why would abraham hold something back for God?
it somehow reminds us of what the scripture says about seeking Gods' kingdom and righteousness first
and all of the other things we need will be given to us..
reminds us of the famous slogans or sayings..."God First and the rest will follow"...
and if you take care of what is important to God, God will take care of what is imporatant to you..
you know, something like that
God is still God even if we don't believe and praise Him, but if Heaven and Hell were true(to be fair with unbelievers)
then not believing in God would certainly be of great importance to man's eternal destiny.
since you dearly most want to talk about Logic..by Logic, a person ought to be practical right?
a person who is logical, most likely that same person would also go for what is practical..
which is more practical, to believe and live a life as if there is God, then die finding out there isn't
or to believe and live as if there is no God, then die finding out there is..
again bai, this is just like a regular conversation between 2 people who happen to have different ideas that's all..
i respect whatever your belief is...this argument is just for the sake of discussion..
