You spend a substantial amount of money on a product you think is the best for your money's worth, only to find out that its resale value has plummeted way too quickly.

They have all the right to feel pissed if they just bought a product that they felt was the Top of the line gadget and Apple decides to release a new one in less than 6 months. Most buyers kay mag tigom pana and of course, ang ila gi tigoman kay kanang pinaka latest jud. And I can totally understand nga ma annoyed jud sila nga after nila gi tigoman ang usa ka product, pagawsan dayon ug mas BAG-O ug mas BETTER in less than 6 months. Normal rana nga reaction. It's not about "impressing" people like what you mentioned.

Ps: i have a variety of products, not LIMITED to apple products only. And di sad ko magtigum para mopalit. I buy when i want to buy. Ang akong gitigum ang akong knowledge and skills so I can afford.

You are basing your scenario in the Ph also. Have u been to the 1st world countries? Where they treat their gadgets as gadgets? Not something to boast about or even worse, make it something like a status symbol?

From what i know of, Pinoys ra anf particular kaau sa ilang looks and reputation re: gadgets. I work with 40 different nationalites and maka ingon ko pakauwaw ra jud ang pinoy. Asta among mess boy nga $600/month ra ang sweldo nangambition pa magka iphone 5. Giingnan na gud sa among Scottish captain nga "set your priorities ." Kay lagi gusto mo "in" sad. Wala niya gi consider nga 4 na kabook anak sa pinas.

I'm an American, and yes I'm well traveled by first-world standards, but that's neither here or there and kind of a petty point to be honest. And no, even thepeople from my country see Apple's products as vanity items, so your point is also moot brosef.

And you seem to think that this negative reaction is limited to PH users only, when in fact, the general consensus among Apple fans is that the 6-month refresh caught them off guard.

And Apple's market is those that don't save for gadgets? Absurd. Money is money, and even though I make a comfortable living (without sacrificing comfort and time away from family *snickers*), I do not like wasting more than $500 on something that becomes second best, when I could've waited just a few weeks (4 weeks to be exact) for a new flagship.

Isnt it suppose to be like that? I mean, things either improve or become crap?

It doesn't mean that older iPads will stop working if a newer model comes. I bought an iPad for a purpose not to brag it to other people. Sad to say that some of us buy these new gadgets so that they will feel superior to others..

totally agree with u dear sir! we should be buying gadgets for them to serve their purpose and not for the sake of being on top of the trend.
