Yes, it's safe not to assume. I know someone who claims he loves me but can't even remember "special" dates and wasn't sensitive about my feelings during that time; There is this another guy who shows brotherly love and care so we can't really tell. It should come out from their mouth.

There was this guy who was supposedly "courting" me, college pa to. Namisita sa akong boarding house nag dala man hinuon ug buwak nga pang patay pinalit daw niya didto kilid sa Sto. Rosario, purple pa jud color sa flowers. I was thinking to myself, maybe na misinterpret lang nko that he liked me, kay murag nanunglo man hinuon ang hinampak.
