Default HEAVEN & HELL or REINCARNATION? what is your belief

***share your idea please....Pwede rasad ma include ang OT nga creation vs. evolution kay murag ig-agaw raman ni sa reincarnation diay

Heaven and Hell, according to the most Biblically-based Christian beliefs, indicate that after death, there are two possible destinations. Either a person's soul goes to join with God, or it doesn't.

Consider the Bible also teaches that each man and woman's soul comes from God, and it seems rather simple to say that the soul comes from God, lives on Earth, then returns to the immaterial super-nature from which it came.

Reincarnation, according to some Eastern religious beliefs (Hiduism, etc.), suggests that a soul starts life as an insect or other tiny creature. It lives and dies, then either moves to a more sophisticated creature or a more humiliating creature, depending on how it lived its life. Eventually, the purest souls are incarnated as humans. If they die having lived a good enough life, they make the final move up to whatever is next. Theories vary, but generally it's a land of gods or pure joy or nirvana or other places that'd be nice to be.

The prospect of Heaven and Hell rely, essentially, on how God deals with His creation (much like how a parent deals with an unruly child).
The prospect of reincarnation rely on the assumption that all souls are trying to better themselves out of some forgotten but instinctually necessary desire to move up in the cosmic ladder of goodness.

Or, to put it in a much simpler way, reincarnation assumes people are generally good while Christianity acknowledges that people are inherently bad.

So look at the world- all of it, from love to hate to greed to selflessness- and decide. Are most people good or bad at heart?

This one i believe as a being made in the image and likeness of god, having will and intellect, responsible ug accountable of our actions ...Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgment."

The thing why i cannot fully grasp the concept of reincarnation is that....

    * All souls in some point have a beginning, why the need for perfection kung sa premiro pa lang perfect naman sya? so this would relate sa garden of eden account that the first man was perfect but had fallen from the glory of god because of sin.

No offense to those who value this belief but more explaination please coz this one is a very big help to those nangita sa kamatuoran. Basin naa sad mas klaro nga interpretation about ani...

on judgement day, it'll be either heaven or hell. i believe that there is also a place for cleansing those who fall behind whose sins are not mortal sins, that place is purgatory. that is what i believe in

i believe in Heaven and Hell and only through Jesus that we will be made worthy
i believe that it is NOT right to say that once saved always saved 'cause salvation is a gift..it can be kept or taken away...
and saying "i believe" is not enough without the supplication of actions..'cause in the first place, actions and faith must be identical..wherein doing goodworks as a result of having the FAITH.
i believe that there is purgatory and indulgence however not in the sense that Christ's sacrifice is not enough
but simply because of these mysteries.
*some people died in God's friendship..which means they lived believing that there is God
but actions did not really matched with their words..sa mga muingun nga aw impierno to cla...think twice guys..
for only God sees the heart, it doesnt mean nga wala cla nabag.o,wala cla nanganduy na mausab and most certainly it woud't mean either nga impierno pud cla.
it is our duty to tell them about the Holy Spirit, the power that rose Jesus from death, the power that changed murderes, liars, cowards into saints.
*souls who said they believed in God, did good works but out of Obligation not out of Love.
because as a Christian we should know that no goodworks can ever surpass Christ's sacrifice..
and it is only through our faith in Him shall we be saved
*and the very fact that we don't know whether a soul would go to heaven
    and hell..
naa pay uban nga examples why there is a possiblility nga naa jud
and yes the bible clearly does not state the word purgatory
however there are verses/stories in the bible that somehow describes that state...

    see:Scripture Catholic - PURGATORY

*Matt. 12:32 – Jesus says, “And anyone who says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but no one who speaks against the Holy Spirit will be forgiven either in this world or in the next.” Jesus thus clearly provides that there is forgiveness after death. The phrase “in the next” (from the Greek “en to mellonti”) generally refers to the afterlife (see, for example, Mark 10.30; Luke 18.30; 20.34-35; Eph. 1.21 for similar language). Forgiveness is not necessary in heaven, and there is no forgiveness in hell. This proves that there is another state after death, and the Church for 2,000 years has called this state purgatory.

*Luke 12:47-48 - when the Master comes (at the end of time), some will receive light or heavy beatings but will live. This state is not heaven or hell, because in heaven there are no beatings, and in hell we will no longer live with the Master.

*Luke 16:19-31 - in this story, we see that the dead rich man is suffering but still feels compassion for his brothers and wants to warn them of his place of suffering. But there is no suffering in heaven or compassion in hell because compassion is a grace from God and those in hell are deprived from God's graces for all eternity. So where is the rich man?

*2 Tim. 1:16-18 - Onesiphorus is dead but Paul asks for mercy on him “on that day.” Paul’s use of “that day” demonstrates its eschatological usage (see, for example, Rom. 2.5,16; 1 Cor. 1.8; 3.13; 5.5; 2 Cor. 1.14; Phil. 1.6,10; 2.16; 1 Thess. 5.2,4,5,8; 2 Thess. 2.2,3; 2 Tim. 4.. Of course, there is no need for mercy in heaven, and there is no mercy given in hell. Where is Onesiphorus?

*1 Peter 3:19; 4:6 - Jesus preached to the spirits in the "prison."
certainly this prison is not Hell 'cause what good does preaching do if there is no more salvation?
and there is certainly no more salvation once you are in Hell.

Lastly, if we think that the concept of purgatory defeats the idea of an all Loving and Forgiving God through Christ's sacrifice..this actually somehow gives a second chance even to those people who chose NOT to believe in God or Jesus in this Life(obviously when a person who used to NOT believe in God while he was still alive, doesn't have much of a choice if God meets him after death but to BELIEVE) However that does not necessarily follow that he would repent, repentance and belief are not the same..if a soul does not repent obviosuly you know where that soul is going.however if that soul somehow does?where would he go? to heaven?
He didn't even believed in Jesus while he was alive?
This my dear friends actually demonstrates an ALL-Forgiving and ALL Loving God..who would still give a chance after being rejected?

however if it is possible to go to heaven directly, why would i wanna settle for purgatory or something less??
that is the very reason why i strive so bad to be a true Christian.

i understand that the Catholic Chucrch in the past abused the teaching about indulgence...
where rich people pay the church for indulgence in preparation for sins that they have not committed yet
(which somehow gives them the confidence to commit Sin).
perhaps that was one of the reasons why Martin Luther protested.
but that does not cross out the possibility of purgatory and indulgence...

However, these are minor doctrines and obvious differences that Christians sects may have
but we should not set our focus on these for this will only
cause division which clearly what Satan wants..
if you don't believe in purgatory, you can still respect others who believed it
while you either study about it or remain not believing..

after all our major doctrines as Christians are the same.
see the nicene creed in 300AD(most popularly known as the apostle's creed)
it is still widely declared by Catholics...even Lutherans do so.

pasnsya na breakeven ha if taas2x ni...kahibaw man gud ko nga if i say i believe in purgatory
kay daghan mga igsoon mu react..hehehe..so i took the liberty of sharing why i believe aside that it
is widely taught in the catholic church.
and of course, i absolutely do not believe in reincarnation :P
