They will buy only few because this is not Red Alert 2 where you can buy multitude of fighter aircraft, the maintenance cost is big depending on the plane's generation the bombs too needs to be maintain as well.

I think so, it will eventually replace the OV-10.

why replace a very effective plane? both as observer and a bomber. its good for bombing runs with the rebels..

The F-16's are the most affordable. I'd opt for them, but the Eurofighter Typhoon is also equally great. But like others have already said, it'll take more than just fighter jets to upgrade our air power. Those jets need to have capable pilots, mechanics, and ammo, which can easily exceed the price per jet. We'll also need a serious upgrade on our early warning radar systems (do we even have these?), because these jets are going to be useless if we can't see or prepare for a threat in advance.

Because of it's aging airframe and Boeing no longer had a production line for parts sa OV-10, our OV-10's were refurbished from parts we buy from thailand/singapore/malaysia gikan sa ilahang mga retired OV-10....

Recently we received a nice upgrade sa atoang OV-10, it's the first OV-10 to deliver a PGM (Precision Guided Munition) a laser guided bomb sa Basilan, against Abu Sayyaf...

The Philippine Air Force is using U.S.-made guided munitions in combat against local terrorist groups. Raytheon provided 22 kits to the Philippines in 2011 to convert unguided bombs into missiles suitable for launching from PAF OV-10 aircraft.

There are romurs na ang ni target sa laser kay US drone, then PAF OV-10 ang ni drop sa bomba...
