TRUE confidential agents, just like me, are never acknowledged...Palace should have denied Trillanes role, says military analyst

There should have been no controversy had the Palace not acknowledged Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV’s unofficial role in the negotiations with China.
Retired Commodore Rex Robles, a military analyst, said Thursday that agents sent to back-channel talks were never acknowledged.
Whether the talks are a success or a failure, the backroom negotiator “is out of the picture,” Robles said.
Any commendation given in recognition of his work is usually burned. “Only the ashes of that burned sheet of paper is given to the negotiator,” Robles said.
Robles said he was surprised when Malacañang confirmed Trillanes’ claim that he was the government’s backroom negotiator in the West Philippine Sea dispute.
Amateurish
“President Aquino should have denied it outright,” Robles said, adding that Malacañang’s handling of the disclosure was “amateurish.”
...we will be bad mouthed, but confidential as we are, we will never complain..![]()
Maypa si Robles mas nakasabot pa sa sitwasyon ni Trillanes unlike many people here na diretso dayon accuse nga traitor kuno. I don't believe Enrile is that stupid or ignorant on how crisis management and negotiation works.. Ambot ni si manong johnny buhaton man jud ang tanan aron lang makasurvive sa politika..
Jack, dili naman ta ignorante about back channel negotiations. we know they are not the "official emissary" because it will just defeat their purpose di ba? Then naa pa uban dinha who will stupidly insist na all negotiators should speak with "one voice." What da heck? Mao gani naay backroom negotiations kay dili magsilbi kung DFA lang. One thing for certain, the chinese are very angry at PNoy and Del Rosario everytime they blab infront of the media. Init kaayo ang ulo sa mga intsik kay del Rosario..
OT: When this statement is expressed in an opinion, it only exposes one's narrow mindedness and lack of capacity for logical and critical thinking. Unfortunately, it also manifests the tendency to resort to ad hominem when the going gets tough. While people here remain anonymous, one wonders what such train of thinking does in the real world with real people and the real self of the thread posters with such mindsets. Multiplied by the thousands or even millions could this be one major reason why the country remains divided? Disagreement can be a useful tool to drive improvement and progress. It is supposed to make people think and not irresponsibly react. But why do many find it difficult to agree to disagree? Why beg the question when you do not have any factual and acceptable argument to present? For the country to move forward progressively, people really need to grow up, get real and not act like kids who argue they have more 'stars' than anybody else.

Philippines improves standing on corporate governance list | Inquirer Business
“It is tempting to state that the improvement in our survey is a result of a concerted effort among government, regulators, NGOs [nongovernment organizations] and companies alike to improve standards. Indeed, there is evidence that our candidly accurate assessment of the dilapidated state of governance under the Arroyo regime, along with the reformist impetus from President Aquino’s new administration, galvanized interested parties into positive action that has borne some fruit,” said the report, which is published by CLSA every two years in collaboration with the Asian Corporate Governance Association.
grabi gyud ni, tanan media outlet napalit nas yellow media..Based on the report “CG Watch 2012 Corporate Governance in Asia” dated September 10, the Philippines’ overall score improved by 4 percentage points to 41 percent this year, rising a notch from the bottom of the list. This year’s cellar dweller on the CLSA’s CG Watch list is Indonesia.![]()
