i think this is a good debate. hmmm.
Question lang sa TS ....
Do you believe in all you read or come across sa internet diay ?
" A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. " - 2nd Amendment , Bill of Rights of the United States of America
man is composed of the body, the spirit and the soul... what is in the same image and likeness with God? it is our soul, it is pure goodness same as God, mao na siya nga the kingdom of God is within us, ky our soul is in our body, now what is the role of our spirit, our spirit is evolving, learning what is our soul and God is, and he needs our body for that until such time nga in complete knowledge na siya with the soul and God and it can return to God.
kung ang body magbuhat ug maayo mo reflect na sa iyang spirit, same pud ug magbuhat ug di maayo which makalangan sa iyang pag learn unsa ang soul and God. it is the body that commits the sin but not the spirit but it will affect the evolution of the spirit in learning what is soul and God and maka delay sa pagbalik ngadto sa God.
to save myself would be to investigate and analyze these explanations of bible verses and i may find the real teachings of Jesus which is more on to do something rather than waiting
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" (Matt. 7:21-23)
"My teaching is not my own. It comes from Him who sent me." (John 7:16)
"If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but He sent me." (John 8:42)
klaro kaayo in those verses bai, he is not a God
now about sa Son of God naa sa post#38. pls read.
i don't believe it right away, with an open mind and open heart, i try to understand what their explanations are, which are different than what is being taught to me since i was young up to now. i am analyzing and comparing, and somehow, their explanations are possible. esp there are some evidences like the copper scrolls and there are some explanations on the misinterpretations from original language like the Messiah and Son.
the discovery of copper scrolls, the exclusion of some gospels that contains Jesus teachings i would say that the statement below is possible:
source: Real Teachings of Jesus: “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy loads and pu
This is precisely what the Roman emperor Constantine did with the teachings of Jesus. He realized that because so many people all over Europe and the Middle East were trying to follow Jesus' teachings, he could control the people by creating a single "Christian" organizational structure. So Constantine collected together teachers from different regions (the Synod of Nicea) and coerced them to formulate a single doctrine regarding Jesus (the Nicene Creed), which every church had to (by law) synchronize with. Then he oversaw the politically-motivated selection of certain scriptural texts of the many that were circulating during those times, and appointed scribes to combine and translate those texts into a cohesive single book, the Bible. This became the official scripture of the official Church sanctioned by the Roman empire - the early Roman Catholic Church.
Like the situation Jesus is discussing regarding the Jews, this new ecclesiastical organization set up by the Roman empire became law. Eventually, people were required to attend the Roman Catholic masses. If they didn't, they would be condemned, and hung or burned at the stake. It didn't matter that the priests of this ecclesiastical church did not actually teach what Jesus taught. Their masses were ritualistic ceremonies spoken in Latin. Most people around Europe could not even understand Latin. So they simply sat in mass, and listened and repeated Latin phrases, along with the ritualistic motions. Many of these rituals still take place today among Catholic churches, with the addition of English Bibles and a priest who might add an English sermon.
This coerced power structure replete with empty rituals called the Roman Catholic Church virtually controlled the Christian religion for over a thousand years. During this period so many atrocities were committed by this organization. So many innocent people were slaughtered. So many people were tortured, in the name of Jesus. This of course was why Jesus also said:
“Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will come to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” (Matt. 7:21-23)
It wasn't until a few fearless English and German persons decided that enough was enough in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries (such as John Wycliffe, Jan Hus and Martin Luther) that some change came. Even then, those who translated the Bible from Latin to the language people could understand were sought out and persecuted by the Roman Catholic Church.
Regardless of the open mind and heart you use, if it has no consultations and gikan ra nimo tanan , how can you justify its authenticity?
Do you know the meaning of EXPLANATION and INTERPRETATION ?
