turbo timers are really not required kung city drive lang. kinahanglan lang na kung pirmi ka byahe ug layo, bugat pirmi imong karga or both. dili gyud diay na sya kailangan kay kung mubyahe ka ug layo or bugat imong karga or nisaka ka ug bukid, ayaw nalang usa e-off dayon ang sakyanan inig abot nimo sa imong destination. turbo timers are just a waste of money imho.

pero kuyawa gud sa mitsu mandaue, manghatag sila ug turbo timer with the unit? suki siguro ni ang TS sa mitsubishi.

Aside from lubricating, lube oil is also the medium for cooling the turbo charger. the oil pump is coupled with the engine, so kung patay ang makina wana say cooling ang turbo.
kung taas kaayog temp ang turbo charger nya patay na ang makina ang oil could break down (coke) nga mahimong deposits nga maoy hinungdan maka block sa oil lines.
ang turbo timer allows the engine to run at pre determined time sufficient enough for the turbo charger and the oil to cool down that in turn will not coke and clogged your lines.
Useful ang turbo timer kung nagdali kag naug sa sakyanan after ka mag zoom zoom else just wait a minute or two before turning off the engine.

The point here is, just to manually time your engine shut off, anyway, we dont really drive our suvs to over 100kms anway,

The lesson learned is, don't put aftermarket accesories that interfere with the electrical circuit of a car, i learned my lesson once, i change the horns of my navara and after just a few minutes a warning light on the dash lit up(srs airbag light) , i later learned that by removing the old horn, i opened an important circuit for the airbag system there by tripping the warning light, a little research from the net i diy the reset code of the alarm and set the srs airbag warning light off, saving me at least 5k worth of labor.

so the proper way to turn off a engine with TURBO is to let it idle for at least 1 minute, jst enough ma settle or mo relax npd ang spin sa turbo, then turn off.

mao na ang TURBO TIMER, cya na ang mo wait or mo delay sa engine pg turn off.

base lang sa akng pag sabot ani.. hehehe..
yeps sakto ka boss, pero ang topic is about the problems encountered with the turbo timer ON.
    anyways tnx for sharing!

did you remove the battery terminal?
I did installed some aftermarket accessories like stereo and subs in my car, fortunately all went well. All I did was remove 1 batt. terminal and careful observation of the harness.

FYI: to all those who have turbo timers installed in their Montero Sport.

I just found out (while I was installing a back-up camera) that the connecting wires of the turbo timer were just SPLICED to the ignition wiring (harness), supposedly sockets should have been pre-installed. Meaning to say the turbo timer is just an add-on (panguarta) here locally, if its not what I think it is then during its assembly in Thailand turbo timers are already installed or say a pre-installed socket is attached making it a stock wiring assembly.

    just a thought
