Iran pre-Khomeini was arguably among the most progressive countries of the Mid-East. I don't know if you believe how western media portrays Iran, but it is a country that has gone to the dogs--relative to what it was before. Actually Iran is a modern country just like any country in Europe. Common misconception of Iran is an evil, backward, radical, third world... etc.

That's probably because some liberated/westernized Iranians consider it a stigma to be associated with the current Iran, these are the people who fled during the revolution. I actually learned this from an actual Iranian. Call it western indoctrination. The other reason is that "Persian" is an ethnic group, as there are also Iranian Kurds, Lors, Azeris, and Arabs.

i agree , iranians like to be called persians than arabs. some iranians are liberated already specially the ones who grew up in the west ,europe, the states and they are not fully agreeable to the kind of thinking in their country but are just silent about it.

I see, I thought you have your own assessments of how Iran looks and how they conduct their social affairs that you have to label them as Islamic Radical. I do not want to use my perspective, this is one reason why I copied and pasted clips from cross-referencing with other reliable sources (e.g., encyclopedia, books, magazines, etc.), as this is the only way to trust the Wiki information.


Wikipedia is a tertiary level encyclopaedia. As such its articles are a summary of information published in other reliable sources. As a historian you could use Wikipedia as a general introduction to a topic but should note the references provided. and for Zeus' thundering butthole, Wikipedia and other encyclopedias are not Zionist tool/ media. Calling these mediums as Zionist is the same thing as calling children history books, Grolier, Brittanicus tools of Zion/anti-Arab/ Anti-Islam, which is not.

Don't question my knowledge about Iran's history, I have been writing reviews and articles on Mid Eastern current events for years, and I've been appreciating and reviewing Irans' colorful past before you were even joining forums, not the past 3 decades of Iran's New modernist rule though.
