Neither is civil marriage (absence of a church wedding).

There really are different ways that this topic can be discussed.

If you base your morality and policy making on the bible, then the answer is clear, same *** marriage should be forbidden. However, even though the Philippines considers itself a predominantly Christian country, the church and bible does not dictate the laws. With that said, the only logical way to create laws when it comes to same *** marriages is to legalize it. If the church decides not to marry same *** couples, then that is their decision, but the law should keep open the possibility for marriage through civil union. The church has NO BUSINESS in government. The church can dictate to it's members it's wishes, but not everyone is part of the Catholic church and but those for and against gay marriage are part of the same country and the same government. If you want the church to dictate the laws regarding marriage and wish to force your opinions on others through law, then move to a country that doesn't value equality, human decency, and democracy. I suggest Iran where Ali Khamenei certainly does agree with you and oppresses his people in the spirit of being true to God.

With that said, any remarks that go along the lines of "gays have no rights because the Bible says so" or any remark at all that I consider hateful, ignorant and without basis will receive an infraction. Some of you are lucky that you haven't been banned already only because all this useless banter is not worth it me going through over a hundred pages.

Consider this your warning. You can disagree, but putting people down in the name of "respect" for the institution of marriage is hypocritical, ignorant and not in the spirit of iSTORYA. Infractions will follow.

And I believe one of your rules and regulations stated this..................

"3. The posting of obscene content is prohibited. No user may refer other users to outside content of an obscene nature. No pornographic(NUDITY) content may be inserted in to any post. The use of harsh language(swearing, cussing, and cursing) is prohibited. Violations will most likely result in a ban." <---- and we obviously know how one Dustashed has been posting OBSCENE images! Not to mention INSULTING!

If this thread has been clearly monitored...I believe I'm not the only Istoryan who complained about it.

Yes, mods....please do the NECESSARY sanctions as deemed necessary!
