oist sari-sari store ra na oiz..
unsa nlng jud kaha ug grocery store na na! hahaha

    bitaw, basic accounting
    hehehe
    ig human nimo pangumpra,
    himo ka inventory list
then sugua imo tindera nga kada ma halinan xa
    iya ra e tally oiz
    hehehehe ^^

nya at the end of each month

makabaw man jud ka pla imo gasto sa imo puhunan..
imo daun minus sa imo sales for that month..
mao na daun na imo ginansya. oki doki? ^^

by tallying every day's sales, makabaw ka pla imo supposedly halin, without counting physically the inventory, if naay discrepancy between cash at the end of the day and ur inventory, gi kaon nag uk-ok nga perting dakoa porma ug tindera!! hahaha

a sari sari store (retailing business) is very good. the problem with this kind of retailing business is ang cashiering. the inventory is secondary ra na... kay ang cash mas ok man kawaton keysa sa inventory pa di ba? kakita ka sa SM or other grocery store? naa na silay bar coding each kind of inventory/merchandise... kng ka afford ka ana, do it... but if not, tally tally jud ka like katrina suggested.

but sometimes, accountants/consultants may give opinion/ask:

pila imong magasto sa pag control? bason nya ang gasto nimo pag control mas dako pa sa gingkawat or kawatunon.... "differential analysis"... kay bason nya maalkanse ka sa gastusunon sa pagcontrol... so may pa pakawat ka na lang... sounds funny but think about it....

bro, tabang lang ko nimo ha? maayo pa research ka about pareto analysis. it means "critical few but trivial many..."
dili man tanan gyud stocks or inventory nimo nga zero-zero gyud ang ihap. basta kato lang mga important stuff like 20% of the total stocks that values 70% of your total money, MAO RANA ANG IMONG IMPORTANTE UG BANTAYAN.

That is what I do with our business inventory.

for all you know, wla jud na xa kbaw unsa inyo pasabot about analysis.
just answer his question pra d na xa mag libog.

i think i failed to ask how big ur sari-sari store is.
so.. how big is it? if we're talking about murag bodega kadak-a,
impractical kaau mag physical count ka.

so mas maau jud perpetual imo inventory system. keep track of receipts when you purchase.
sari-sari store man kaha, so you buy in wholesale right?

    its very simple.

do u think this would work? xtra cost nasad
Computer sa sari-sari store?? Tingali ang imong computer hinuon ma magic ana ug dili imong stocks labi nag maka uyab imong tindera ug adik adik.

a proper inventory (not really computer based) basta you need to know the supplies/stocks in and out. para makabalo jud ka unsa imong kailangang e-dungag labi na kung unsa to ang halinon.

I want to share my experience in our sari-sari store. Heres my suggestions how to manage.

    1. Do inventories at least 4 times a year, the more often the better.
    2. Track your sales. Isulat ang inyong halin every time. bahala na ug P2 nga candy ra.
    3. Know how much money are you expecting in your cashier at the end of the day. With this, makabalo ka naay nanobra or makulang, or gikawat.
    4. Know what to purchase. Dapat kabalo ka kon unsa nga products ang kusog within that week/month/season.
I suggest naa gyud detailed receipts inyong suppliers, just like "La Nueva", i like their receipt.
    6. Track all your expenses. Water/Electricity/Salaries/etc.
    7. If nag e-load ka. Track balances. Make sure nga walay gikawat. Huh.
    8. Know your daily income based sa imong sales of the day. With this ma compute nimo kon lugi or ni gain ka within the month for next month's planning.

Since I am a programmer at the same time nag business ani nga type, kabalo ko unsa gikinahanglan sa ako store mao ako gihimoan ug "Sales and Inventory Program" nga all-in-1, naa ni tanan. At first, murag overassuming kay sari-sari store nag computerized, but believe me it really helps 100%. Feeling nako bisan nag work ko kay naa koy duha ka-CLONE naa didto. heheeh.

My e-Load Experience: First kay wala man nako gi track sa "POS" ang balance, nag duda naman gyud ko sa load, first ako gihimo kay ako gipasulat sa papel ang balances, then gikapoy ko trace (sakit sa mata), finally, ako gi add sa program. Tanan nga eLoad ma track gyud kay mangutana man ang "POS" ug pila ang balance then i-compare niya sa expected balance, kung dili gani mag match, mo error siya, unless i-override. If ever i-override niya makit-an gihapon nimo sa reports kay mabal-an man nimo pila ang nawala, makapangutana dayon ka kung ngano. It's like fun to have your CLONE do the business in your absence.

Mga bro, kon dili mo gahanan mag gamit ug computer kay expensive, i strongly suggest nga i-pa manual lang sa inyong tindira ug sulat kon unsa nahalin para inyo i-account at the end of the day kana kung dili kamo nangunay sa inyong tindahan. Pero kon nangunay mo, it's an just extra effort ra.

If your store is having an average sales of 5T a day, i suggest you will use a POS program just like mine dili ka magmahay sa imong gi invest nga money para sa computerization, i know with 5T a day, your investment for computerization mabawi nimo in just 1 month or 2 months (i have an estimate pila imong income a day if ingon ana imong range sa halin), plus long term peace of mind pa gyud.

Kung imong tindahan, tag P500 ra ang average nga halin everyday den isalig pa gyud nimo ug tindira. Panirado na lang kay alkanse ka.
