Aside from the fact that this post by high_heels has irresponsibly diminished a homosexual human being into a dog (which is just heartless and incredibly offensive), people should know that the law can and has been amended numerous times, usually to improve it. That's exactly why little discussions like these matter, because it can possibly be a precursor to a deeper understanding of tolerance in this wildly homophobic country of ours.

The original issue raised is wether Marriage Equality should be legal or not. We have presented our argument in a logical manner.
The benefits that same-*** couples will have under the law is nothing special, it is the same benefits given to heteresexual couples. The question becomes why deny this particular right to these marginalized people.

You are arguing that there is no logical reason why Marriage Equality should be allowed when it is staring you right in the face, Same *** marriage gives same *** couples the benefits and protection that the law already provides to heterosexual couples.

With regards to sodom and gomorrah, you are basing your arguments on theology which frankly has no place in the field of logic

Kung basahon nato ang bill of rights sa atoa constitution, murag fair naman na sa tanan regardless of gender/s3x. Wala man makababag ninyo kung gusto mo magpakasal(same s3x marriage), pero ayaw na lang na ninyo ipamugos na i-recognize sa constitution og sa simbahan. Bisan pa og makasulod ang Lad2x partylist sa kongreso, tangasunon gyud na kaayo ang inyo dalan na agian.

Again let me state this, the church has absolutely nothing to do with it. Marriage is a civil bond duly recognized by the law. The reason we as a society can progress and move forward is due to change. Laws are amended all the time, and this would just be another law amended to give full rights to gays and lesbians to marry the person they love
