I thing it's the use of money is our problem here, why rich people run for any electing position in our government because of the money not really for public service, because I believe they are not really for public serve they aim for money and that is the reality. Why they acting that way because our polician can use their fork barrel to any project they like, they have full control of all the activities / project. Therefore it's easy for them to corrupt. Look at other country such as Sweden it is the Social Welfare who works for all the government project, while the politician are their for checking of the project to complete, in general they don't handle the money but instead they are their to guard that the money are spent correctly. So the politician are their for public service not as a businessman, manager, or everything....Here in Philippines our politician is consider as a businessman, why they focus more on their project because every project they get bigger return....

we're too old as a nation to still depend on others. we will never learn to stand-up on our feet if we keep asking others for help. we need to help ourselves first and get rid of those leeches who keeps on sucking our resources... both internal and external. until then, we'll always find ourselves helpless and ask uncle sam for more help.

It is not that we will depend from others, it is that we need someone who can lead us with no vested self-interest which we can't find sa pinas. There is a saying that " A group of sheep lead by a lion is better that a group of lion lead by a sheep'. In our case sa pinas must be " A group of lion lead by a greater lion".. and that is US

Well, we are only discussing here of possible scenarios if and when....but its not going to happen kuno that the US will even consider Philippines for Statehood, for the reason that the negatives far outweighs the positives.
