what the hell is wrong with them?
the US govt issued a statement yesterday..the CGFNS is a private organization thus policies they implement are separate and not to be accounted as Federal policies.
luoy au aku friend dba der was re-computation of scores den nkabaw sya pasar sya mid-november na so wla sya dayon take ug board pag december, magmahay sya kng mao man mahitabo maypa take nlng sya balik december if he only knew dis wud happen... tsk tsk tsk
I heard the government will be giving subsidies so that the board passers can have the retake. CGFNS is indeed a private organization and it will be difficult to persuade them to change their decision. At least, the government is extending all efforts so that our nurses will have the opportunity to work in the United States.
why not humiliate them publicly? by the way, who are these people? are they members of school faculties?Originally Posted by tolstoi

Palace urges 2006 passers to retake nursing exam
http://www.mb.com.ph/MAIN2007022788188.htmlChief Presidential Legal Counsel Sergio Apostol yesterday advised board passers in the controversial nursing licensure exams last June, 2006 to voluntarily retake the exams if they intend to practice the nursing profession in the United States.
The MalacaƱang official said board passers in the nursing licensure exams last June should retake the exams instead of pursuing an appeal before the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) for a reversal of a decision barring board passers last June from getting US visas because of doubts raised on their competencies by the cheating controversy.
"If they want to go to the US, then they should follow the rules of the US and take the exams again," Apostol said in an interview.
The CGFNS declared all board passers in the nursing board exams last June as ineligible for Visa Screen certificates, after a fact-finding mission issued an assessment that the cheating controversy in the nursing board exams last year has put to doubt the competencies of all board passers.
The CGFNS Visa Screen certificate is a requirement for foreign nurses seeking to practice the nursing profession in the US.
The commission, however, said that those who passed the controversial nursing board exams last June may retake the tests to gain eligibility for Visa Screen certificates.
Apostol said that while an appeal has been prepared to seek a reversal of the CGFNS decision, board passers last June should take the exams again at the soonest to prevent more delays in their plans to practice the nursing profession in the US.
President Arroyo had earlier ordered the appeal to be filed before the CGFNS while saying that the government would shoulder fees for the voluntary retake of the nursing board exams.

I don't think there should be a problem retaking the exam when(not yet definite) most especially the government will take care of all the review expenses. If that is the rules, then they should follow it nalang siguro para matapos na rin problema nila. Hindi naman siguro maglalabas ng ganitong suggestion kung hindi naman para sa ikabubuti nila ito.
muran man tawn sila og "JUST NOW" oi every year man ning naay leakage sa exam diri sa pilipinas dili lang kay nursing asta na engineering, accountancy, law, tesda coc,etc.etc. in the future naa ra unya mo-kanta. as of now, nursing sa ang gi-imbistigar.![]()
