I'm very much in in this activity because its very beneficial on all ends. On businessmen or entrepreneurs side, this is a good avenue to advertise or market their businesses or products and to those who wish to learn a thing or two about business and entrepreneurship, this is a good opportunity to learn and of course, I believe is for free (not unless if the activity will entail rentals or expenses).

However, for this to push through, I strongly suggest that the organizing committee should meet and talk things over. We can't make things possible by mere interacting online or should it be possible, it would be difficult. Hence, before the event or activity proper, a meeting is necessary to plan out the details.

Possible agenda for the meeting would be:

[1] Getting to know the members/organizing committee
[2] Brainstorm in making definite goals, mission, and vision for the group
[3] Plot possible acivities

And I suggest that recruitment or inviting to business presentations of networking companies is strongly discouraged and disallowed.

I also suggest to the thread starter to set a date and a venue.

Guys, I'm planning to have a meet-up with possible attendees to the stock market lecture that I'd be conducting on Sept. 1. Basically, it's all about stock market awareness and a little promotion for my lecture just to give the possible attendees some idea about what they're going to expect in the lecture proper. The lecture date is on Sept. 29. So in line with this one, we could meet and talk a little about this business/entrepreneurship group. I may have such meet-up on a coffee shop, just a simple coffee shop meet.
