    Default Open letter to Teen-ager

    Open letter to Teen-ager

Always we hear the plaintive cry of the teen-ager. What can we do?...Were can we go?

    The answer is GO HOME!

Hang the storm windows, paint the woodwork. Rake the leaves, mow the lawn, shovel the walk. Wash the car, learn to cook, scrub some floors. Repair the sink, build a boat, get a job.

Help the minister, priest, or rabbi, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army. Visit the sick, assist the poor, study your lessons. And then when you are through - and not too tired - read a book.

Your parents do not owe you entertainment. Your city or village does not owe you recreational facilities.

The world does not owe you a living...You owe the world something.

You owe it your time and your energy and your talents so that no one will be at war or in poverty or sick or lonely again.

Grow up; quit being a crybaby. Get out of your dream world and develop a backbone, not a wishbone, and start acting like a man or a lady.

You're supposed to be mature enough to accept some of the responsibility your parents have carried for years.

They have nursed, protected, helped, appealed, begged, excused, tolerated and denied themselves needed comforts so that you could have every benefit. This they have done gladly, for you are their dearest treasure.

But now, you have no right to expect them to bow to every whim and fancy just because selfish ego instead of common sense dominates your personality, thinking and request.

In Heaven's name, grow up and go home!

    haha for teenagers diay ni,

try not to make huge mistakes that you would regret for a long time, the kind that can ruin your future..
if you ever make some, at least learn from them..
your parents love you, though sometimes they may have different ways of showing it, however some are really bad and irresponsible parents try your best to rise above the situation 'cause who you are suppose to be is not determined by your past and how life is treating you currently.
Live and enjoy life, don't waste your time getting mixed up with grown up problems..
enjoy lang being a teenager, 'cause you only pass this phase once.
don't waste your time being broken hearted 'cause of some immature relationships..true Love waits
choose your friends for they will be one of your great influences.choose the ones who have good influences and reach out for those who are not.
take advantage of your youthful energies in building up your character in compassion,Love and Respect.

and most of all, build an intense relationship and foundation of faith in God...
'cause by the time that Life gets hard..He is the only hope you can cling on to.
be strong 'cause you are the future.

i prefer to tell teens to start being practical and open minded... guide you life with intelligence and not with sense of utopia.... listen and comprehend

in tough times.... nobody can help you... but your self!! and your self alone...

i like this Thread TS, we can send a message to those Teenage Istoryans out there.

all make sense for them and for us, for not only the teenagers of today are acting like a crybaby but also some adults who still want to be on their teenage profiles which is so disappointing.

we were raised and perhaps trained by our parents to be better than what they are, not dependent on what they had provided, instead we work hard and see how far can we go beyond the borders that this life has to offer. in the near future we would feel how our teachers felt raising us and making us the best that we are today.

thought it was an open message for teens
    question though,
what heppens if you can no longer help or trust yourself?
what happens when our so called "intelligence" fail?
