Funny, how you mentioned 1900's, because 100 years ago interracial marriage was illegal.

Since it is not illegal, what are you saying about equal rights? You have equal rights... What you are against is the belief of other people that gay marriage is not good. I don't agree that gay marriage is necessarily bad, i see it the same way as heterosexual marriage.

It is this perceived illegality that makes LGBT feel that they are being shortchanged with rights. PERCEIVED ILLEGALITY. The Church is not infringing your rights because their ability to campaign, protest, and influence politics is protected and guaranteed by the Constitution, just like how you are protected by the Constitution.
Perhaps it has not be criminalized, but is it legal yet? Does the state acknowledge same *** marriage? What if duha ka bayot/ tomboy mag ipon, will the state grant them the status as husband/ wife? When that happens, kinsa man ang mahimong beneficiary sa usa, ang iyaha bang partner? Nope. Again, because it has not been legalized yet in this poor country.

The church might not be infringing our rights (I'd like to think that is true) simply because they do not allow the state to grant us the 'right to marry'.

Sakit ang tinuod bro? Gibastusan mo sa among tubag sa inyong pag insistar? Wa mo nag huna huna sa kabastusan sa inyong gi sigihan ug hansak namo nga tumanon namo inyong gusto nga mahatagan mo ug SAME S@X MARRIAGE. Uroy! ! ! The constitution protects the "family" and there is no way, you and another guy can procreate therefore this state cannot you a family. Yes you can be a COUPLE, a GAY COUPLE but NEVER a married couple. why? Because marriage is exclusive to heterosexual couples..... even the US doesn't identify them as MARRIAGE. It is legally identified as "CIVIL UNION" and you guys are obviously sugar coating it with the word MARRIAGE which entirely a different story!

tsk2x @high_heels.. your getting angry again

What we are trying to say is that, wether gays and lesbians can marry or not.. It is of no consequence to you. Let me make it simple so that you may understand:

    Girl meets boy
    Boy likes girl
    Girl likes boy
    they date
    they get married

How does this scenario affect you personally? does it make you happier or sadder? does it make your life a living hell or does it fill you with Ecstasy? Now replace all instances of the word "girl" with "boy".. see any difference in how it affected you PERSONALLY?

    yeah I thought so.

PS. if you need further clarification and explanation, we are here to educate you

If you are mature and secure in your sexuality then words like these have little effect. I am not exactly sure what kind of reaction you were trying to get from me by saying such nonsense.

Men in our military are not welcoming of gays and I don't think that would translate to more than half of them being closet homosexuals. If you are found to be gay you will be ostracized and eventually punished.

In prison systems the world all over, homosexuals are of a rather lowly rank. Above rapists but below regular criminals, they are often abused by fellow inmates. Convicts who discriminate against homosexuals are not entirely homosexuals themselves.

My point is it does not make you homosexual to be homophobic. Nothing is further from the truth. The term is undeserving of the word phobia since it is clinically not even a phobia per se. But what would you expect from a fellow phagg0t who coined the term originally?

And very classy of you to mention bane.. HAHAHA I'll tell you why because the character that plays bane "Tom Hardy" Is a Gay.. well he said he's slept with other guys so I guess thats the same thing?

Excuse me hell-bound traveler but I explicitly said "father" not "mother." They only way I could be proven wrong in

    (your case specifically)

is if you could prove your father is proud of your homosexuality. I bet your father isn't proud so that makes me right. How many times has your father contemplated murder and suicide out of shame? Murder = you, Suicide = him.

Stop it and get help. Thanks for the Tom Hardy tip but I tend to separate actors from the characters they play so him having a history of homosexual relationships does not in any way have any bearing on my appreciation of Bane from the movie.

Homosexuals shouldn't get married. They should be getting treatment.

And here I'm wondering how homosexuals can go about getting this "treatment" you're talking about. Is there some kind of cure that I don't know about? A pill? Psychiatric sessions 5 times a week? You seem quite confident that homosexuality can be cured. Care to share your knowledge for everyone to see?

    (Don't take too long.)

    Here's one:
Conversion therapy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
...though we might run into ethical problems with that one.

And here's one of the most effective do-it-yourself treatments for gays:

They could adopt. Still a family. Just like heterosexual couples who cannot conceive.

And what about heterosexual couples who choose not to have children? Should be pretty upsetting for you how they spit at this notion of "protection of family through marriage" of yours. We surely can't let them get away with it that easily! Wait, I got it. The gov't should monitor every newly-wed within a two-year period after they tie the knot. If they cannot produce a child within that period, their marriage is then declared null and void! "Protection of family" indeed.

As for the extinction angle (if you're planning to take that), the human race will definitely go extinct if gay couples are allowed to get married. There's some stats on this... Let me see... No, wait. Umhmm... Okay, based on my calculations, that's only true if there are only 100 million people left in the world and all of them are of the same gender.

Because marriage is exclusive to heterosexual couples.....
At the moment here in the Philippines, yes. That can be changed though. Not anytime soon I suppose.
