    Default Things to improve in the Philippines. What are they?

    "Good Governance Emanates from the People."-- I guess this is part of the "1998 Constitution".
    This statement depicts that good governance is from our hands--depending on us. To have a good governance, we need to be one, to cooperate, to be disciplined and responsible enough with our actions.

    What are the things in your area that need improvements?
    Unsa mn dapat i-prioritize? If naa sad moy ma share sa possible ways to make them happen, unveil them lstoryans.

    Summary:
    1. Attitude
    --> Eye-opener information drive on our undisciplined actions and the consequences each has caused.
    --> Building proper character to young people starts at home and secondary is at school so parents, teachers and elder ones should be a good model for them. If we want change, it should start on ourselves, in our household then to others.

    2. Basic Needs (Food, Shelter, Education)
    A. Food
    a. Poverty
    --> Livelihood program
    Teaching everyone how to earn a living will gradually eradicate unemployment~~Self-employed or Employed
    --> Strict implementation of not to Dole-out to beggars
    'Give a man a Fish and he will not starve for a day.
    Teach a man How to Fish and he will not starve for a "lifetime".'

    B. Shelter
    a. Street Children and Homeless
    --> Transient Home Institution
    An institution to give them a temporary place to live in.
    --> Livelihood program

    C. Education
    - Having longer years of education is useless if students do not receive the comfort for a better learning experience.
    a. Inadequate number of Classrooms and chairs
    --> Construction of Schools with more Classrooms and Learning Facilities
    b. Inadequate number of Teachers
    --> Good Teacher-Student Ratio
    Having a good number of teachers will enable them to monitor the students well. They can impart their knowledge, skills and attitude more effectively. In turn, students can interact well giving each the chance to participate in class.
    c. Scarce Books
    --> Providence of more actual books or
    --> Providence of electronic books (to save trees) if possible

    [1. Information Drive on:
    a. Proper Garbage Disposal and Absolute Enforcement on "No Littering" Law
    b. Other Laws (to be updated, still waiting for others to contribute)]

    ~~ will just revise and update as soon as I have time to do so, hehe...

    kani lang sa ako ibutang...

    Since nag-start nmn sila ug "reconstruction" and road widening, I hope ila pud unta atimanon ang drainage system.

    Great example nga bahaon ky sa Colon area and AS Fortuna. Sa colon, highly commercialized ang lugar meaning, high foot traffic ang place. Reasons:
    1. We must consider the health of our fellowmen. hugaw kayo ang tubig, bahog canal unya itom kaayo.
    2. If grabeh ang baha, it can slow down the progress of the city/ies within Cebu (not to mention, tanan lugar if bahaon ug maayo)... bothersome jud siya.

    Instead of 24 Senators, make it only two or three. They use up a lot of space, a lot of government funds and a lot of publicity.

    Having a good drainage system if better than having our roads re-cemented all over again--again and again... Yes, both are important though. pero hopefully, maatiman sad unta ang drainage ky we never know about the future. There might come a time mparehas na ta sa "Manila" nga dali ra kaayo bahaon and super taas pjud ang tubig.

    Garbage-- dugay njud ni nga problem. We have this segregation of garbage and hinay2x na bya gi-follow sa mga tao not only sa stores but also mga residents ky di mn i-collecta basta wa nka-segregate. Segregation needs cooperation of all jud. We should all be responsible enough of our garbage. Another concern for garbage is it's disposal... recyclable can be recycled(plastic, cans, etc.); biodegradable can be buried or processed for fertilizer, food for other animals (food) and others can be used to create other stuffs (made of wood); non-biodegradable like other plastic stuffs really needs proper disposal. I don't know what other means to dispose the garbage that would not decompose and that cannot be recycled anymore aside from dumping them.

    Beggars-- there will be no beggars if no one would compromise their way of living. Humans as we are tend to feel pity but we should not dole out because that is just for temporary survival. I hope that those that are organized by the gov't will be implemented strictly wherein they are being taught earn a living.

    Traffic problems-- aside from road widening, traffic lights, assigning of routes, etc, I guess following Singapore's system would really help traffic problems. But of course, it's not easy and there will be many who'll oppose on this.
