We always have a choice, to be strong or to be weak. If life back then was shitty and how about today? Pollution, Starvation, Overpopulation, Strange diseases because of processed foods and some sort. If you think about it, Life was very simple unlike today's simplicity, wanna be strong? TRAIN, wanna have good harvest? WORK, they don't have any distractions aside from bandits and common destroyers, So how can they not harvest in time? so how could they not store food? if they got raided or something, and where left nothing at all. At least they have still hands to work with feet to walk with and a mind to think with so, unlike today ... CAN YOU STILL FIND FOOD THAT YOU CAN KILL FOR FREE? maybe there's a few but only a few. Back then you can be someone, a HUNTER, a WARRIOR, a SCHOLAR etc, hehehe

obviously you've been reading too many fairy tales. Rarely do people come out of their castes. If you we're born a peasant, is highly unlikely you were going to be anything but a peasant. Education then is a treasured thing, and it is not readily accessible to just some plebian. Everything then is by "divine rights" and almost always you are predestined to become whatever part of society. And most likely if you we're born into peasanthood, you'd buy into the idea to accept your place in society. If you didn't die during birth, you could die during infancy, if you didn't die during infancy, then there's starvation, wars, pestilence, diseases to get you before you reach adolescence, and even then you'd go back through the spin-cycle. Then there's also over-burden by doing manual labor. If you manage to get past all those, you will die at the ripe old age of 50--which is considered a long life back then. You're right, back then, life is simple...but don't mistake simple life for easy and free life.

Ya, swertehanay ra kung youll be born in a decent caste. For me, super duper wish jud nako makabalik sa time sa mga knights. For me chada pa ang gira sa una (not only medieval times pero older times pod) where imo survivability sa battle mo depend pod sa imo skill and not random chance. Fast forward karon nga usually di na ka ka face to face sa imo contra, if US imo awayon, mo pislit ra sila og red button, patay naka hehehe. Sad kaayo nga equalizer ang guns and cannons tsk. Makasurvive ka og massive 5000 vs 5000 nga battle and then one week later mamatay ra ka og common flu. For me thatd be a fair trade. Life worth living hehehe. Better to die young in an exciting time than die old like today in the hospital or nursing homes. heheh
