Eh excuse mga ma'ams og sir's, I might break a rule on this 1 and I know there is an existing thread about this post topic. I have a simple question para sa mga atheist lang unta. Hope you answer me truthfully/honestly. And my question is.... What if you have a serious health condition right at this moment and if you were told you have a month to leave by your doctor. What would you do? Naa bay mga changes mahitabo sa imong point of view in life?

Please don't take this personnaly, I respect each opinion. You can ignore this if you want to.. What if lang ni ha kung naa ka ana na sitwasyon. I don't have to make a new thread about this one ky I think its a waste of time/space na. You can continue your topic by adding the name of the person you want to reply on your post. Peace....

even the papacy is not exempted on medical/health conditions/complications............death is inevitable...........
maximize the remainder of your life...........spend it wisely with your family/friends/complete strangers.............in this way, you will NOT have to worry about the existence/absence of an "after-life".........

I actually take that seriously. I do believe that I currently may have some kind of growth/tumor in my lower right abdomen, but I don't plan to visit the doctor anytime soon--if my body quits on me, so be it. That's how life works--it has to end in order for other forms of life to begin. I'm insignificant. I can die tomorrow and I have absolutely no issues about it--the world will go on (or at least I hope the SMART people who are left behind, those who are armed with reason and logic will keep it go on) without me.

P.S. Incidentally, my father died about two weeks ago. We were quite close. But did he believe in life after death? Nope. Did he repent and do all that mumbo jumbo in his deathbed? Nope. Do I believe in life after death? Nope. He was and I am, both of us, were/are absolutely comfortable in the idea that life and death is simply a part of the natural cycle--you once didn't exist, and thus you will cease to exist one day. Period. Nothing else. I think the sooner you accept that, the sooner you come close to reaching a form of happiness that not any religion nor faith can match, because it is an honest view of things.

i have may questions about religion. mahadlok lang ko mag ask kay i also fear sayup ko. what if naa gyud? then i will burn in hell if i dont believe it. so karon, go with the flow ra gyud ko. as long as wala koy napasakitan sa isig ka ingon i think im good with it.

makasuya sad bya ang mga non believer, they have all the freedom to do thins they want so progressive kaayu sila. ang grabe gyud kay kanang tao nga believer then openly commits mortal sins. ex: Kris aquino, makita nimo sa tv mosimba pero dili ikalimud nga daghan na siyag gi ******.

mao ni ako kuyawan sad, there will come a time though not in my generation. soon they people will laugh at our history on why we believed in such religion. wonder lang ko, will there be more people from the past who will go to heaven than to the upcoming generations nga dili na mutoo ug ginoo? everything on earth changes through time. it is expected nga mas daghan makasasala sa next generation compared sa ealier generations. is it justifiable to send those sinners to hell or will God adjust the standard limit in weighing sins? murag katong exam namo nga 1-100 den 34 raman ang highest so ang 34 ang gihimong perfect score nya akong 20 is above 50% so kapasar sad.

if naa dili gihapon maapektohan ang imong soul.

tungod kay ang soul energy form na siya.
walay feelings,conscious mind or sensation.
its like electricity or light.
can you burn light? can you burn electricity?
so the concept of hell is not logical or applicable to the soul if our soul is an energy form.

I don't believe in evolution either.
evolution is just a natural program left by the one who created the universe,
so that he doesn't have to do everything.
but the creator never made man from anything other than a man.
no amount of evolution can produce a man from the fish or a monkey.
they are all just speculations. im not an atheist.
i believe there is a creator but he is not the one described in the bible.

Sir nabali na nuon, theists will believe unless there is proof of macro evolution while atheists relies only to the assumption that it really occur. in short, have faith! but i cannot wait for a million years 50 yrs old ra tingali ko kutob.

An assumption is different from a calculated prediction. For instance, I took photos of the Venus transit event last July 2012, but I already planned and prepared for it over three years ago pa. So how do I know that it will happen at that precise time? Did I make a hurried assumption? Nope, it was detailed, careful calculations and planning that leads to a prediction. Now yes, three years is different compared with 50 million or so years, or even a billion years, but if you UNDERSTAND how these processes work, you will cease to think that the human lifespan is the MEASURING DEVICE for you to appreciate these things--the human lifespan is INSIGNIFICANT against the backdrop of REAL time, and if an event follows the laws of physics, that prediction will remain true, as long as the math behind it remains true. So if 1+1 is still 2 a million years from now, then the predictions for movements of certain planets and stars WILL HAPPEN, whether you like it or not. If you study astronomy, you will realize how important this concept is in one's understanding of how things work in the universe.

- dli man ka dapat awayun , im an athiest , and i had that question before . .... and so then i dont want be hypocrite and stay believing something that we always commit as sin .
As long as your not hurting others , we always have our freedom of speech , athiest are going out of their closet. But why do we have to hide, when religion keep shouting on streets about burning on fire and brimstone , when they themselves commit such hypocritic acts ...

- we grew up with our subconcious mind ,with heaven and hell. but this is without basis...
just continue to ask questions bay. ..
- and dont be afraid about comments from ur friends and families if ur sharibng ur thoughts about what u dont like/understand about religion ,.
- I even ask my pastor before , why there such many religions and stuff , they cant give logical asnwers other than bible verses.

Maybe, because their belief is also based on Faith. Faith that there is No God based on their limited evidence (of non-existence).
