I make better use of my time teaching kids who have the mind to understand what I have to say, rather than convince those whose minds are already decided and closed. After eight months in the field, and over 70,000 kids served, I am happy to find out that there are indeed kids (and parents) out there who actually embrace logic and reason over superstition and religion. And my journey isn't over, and there are still many battles to be fought, but this place (iStorya.net) is no longer my battlefield

You don't get it--even if I don't teach them directly not to believe in a diety, the path of reason and logic is still the path to disbelief, and my talks with some kids and parents (after my lectures) made me realize that indeed, they have chosen the path which does not need religion, and I feel very fulfilled.

Belief in a "young Earth" continued among scientists, until the early 18th century, when it became obvious to most researchers that geological processes were exceedingly slow, and must have been accomplished over incredibly long periods of time. A 5,800 year old earth simply was not possible. A hundred years later, investigators studying Egyptian relics found that "...civilization of Egypt began earlier than the time assigned for the creation of man." Once released from the time constraints imposed by the young Earth concept, progress in geology and other earth scientists advanced by leaps and bounds.
as what iv shared i have no idea whether a thousand, a million, billion years coz i really don't know the speed of god's power. I simply believe that 6t or less than 10t years is the fine-tuning of the cosmos and the history of creation of man and other lifeforms.

simple raman bro, if you have the evidence of a macro evolution show it. even in this present times, wala pa jud nakapresent nga dunay transition in between species!

Do you see the earth actually rotating on its axis? If so, dili pod diay ka motuo nga the earth revolves around its axis because you can't see the phenomenon directly (because the earth is so big, and the process is very slow to discern)? Evolution is the same, it's a process so slow mao nga dili pod nimo ma discern, but this is NOT a reason not to believe in the process. It makes sense if you understand it. The obvious explanation is a) you don't understand it or b) you do understand it but you reject it. As simple as that.

Sir Rodsky, i believe earth rotates on its axis but i will not believe it will turn to a rubber ball in the process of time...even billion years.

The only thing we need is proof that macro evolution is true.

Sir nabali na nuon, theists will believe unless there is proof of macro evolution while atheists relies only to the assumption that it really occur. in short, have faith! but i cannot wait for a million years 50 yrs old ra tingali ko kutob.

Eh excuse mga ma'ams og sir's, I might break a rule on this 1 and I know there is an existing thread about this post topic. I have a simple question para sa mga atheist lang unta. Hope you answer me truthfully/honestly. And my question is.... What if you have a serious health condition right at this moment and if you were told you have a month to leave by your doctor. What would you do? Naa bay mga changes mahitabo sa imong point of view in life?

Please don't take this personnaly, I respect each opinion. You can ignore this if you want to.. What if lang ni ha kung naa ka ana na sitwasyon. I don't have to make a new thread about this one ky I think its a waste of time/space na. You can continue your topic by adding the name of the person you want to reply on your post. Peace....
