You will notice that the 6.4% GDP growth in the first quarter of 2012 was not exactly expected nor was it a result of 'reforms' but rather because the 'yardstick' used was the year 2000 constant prices. If the baseline used was that of the year when the current president started his term, this figure would have been a negative growth rate. The thing is, even if it were the real figure, it is still not impressive. The president would have been able to do better if he put more focus to the economy rather than other matters.
gibo would probably have done a better job right? and Gloria wouldnt have to wear the neck brace. hehe

si angelo reyes naman... nagamit ra to ni arroyo sa iyang mga kurakot... its hard to say no when its the president asking u to do something...

mao to nga naipit sya ug iyang wife when questioned by Trillianes tungod sa larga larga nila sa usa ug hk kuyog ni Gen. Ligot and his wife.
Well, if it is really that known, then shouldn't the president focus on finding and presenting the evidences and pursuing these people and punishing them too? Rather than waste time publicly lambasting them. The same goes for the former president and the rest of her ilk. BUT, let the president use his powers to do it LEGALLY and not through speeches and public statements. Di ba mas maayo ug ingon ana?

Is this all that you can intelligibly say? No wonder this president 'rules'!

aquino lambasted him precisely because of his lack of evidence when passing off his opinion as facts.

his main point wasnt to lambast anyone in particular... he just pointed out how media negativity affects public perception of our country. The predominantly negative news would have a not so good effect on outsiders which may be thinking of investing in our country..

if we dwell on the negative, we send the impression nga puro nalang gyud patayan , rape, sunog diri sa philippines...

No one in particular BUT Noli de Castro, whom he didn't even name but was very specific in making sure everyone knows whom he was referring to. Then again, my point is, he would've been more 'presidential' if he didn't do what he did in such a very positive celebration. He in fact made a positive celebration negative with his remarks - so who's being negative now?

Like I said, he should have just built up a case against de Castro and pursued this in the right venue which is the courts of law.

Thank you. Like everyone else, I do want our country to move on and improve. If one is being critical about the way things are unfolding, the events should be seen against the wider picture and not just on personalities.

my point of view is it was not the ryt place and tym to attack de castro... cuz the event was not for de castro but it is for the whole production team of the program it was an event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of TVpatrol... if di cya nahan ma criticize wa ta cya ning join ug politics... point of view ra man gud na sa isa ka tao ang iyang gi tira di ang panan aw sa kataohan...

if nahan cya mo nice ang image sa philippines di tingay ana ka tanga ang mo tan aw sa news kay if manindot na jud ang pinas wa na jud na bati ma news kung di positive na tanan...

I totally agree with this. Mao jud ni akong na-appreciate sa panahon ni Noli as VP. Mao nang daghan na karon ang low-cost housing and subdivisions and daghan na nakabalay ug arang2x ky tungod sa iyang program/project. Nindot man kaayo to sila ug tandem ni Dinky Soliman (former DSWD Secretary) before to sila nag-away ni Gloria.
