never ever say, you want to improve your english communication skills (though you really want to) or even I want to gain more confidence in myself. First and foremost, they are not there to teach you. They are there to hire you and you help them in reaching their goals. Be confident lang jud. Practice. And avoid long pause and vernacular insertions during the interview.

No CC exp simply means that they are willing to hire people that can do the task basta di lang tig absent. Maong naa say edge ang with EXP kai nahas naman sila through time gilabi na sa type of calls nga madawat. If you are really qualified they why not hire you? its there discretion to hire people or not. Dili raman sad CC ang kayang applyan pero ang CC jud pinakadali sudlon nga nindot ug benefits.

at least 2nd year college level, basic computer know-how and an english speaking tongue are the main qualifications in a call center, no experience is needed, since you'll get that in training.

recruitment people are highly qualified to screen applicants and assess if shortcomings in english can be improved given the timeframe required before an agent hits the floor and start taking live calls. if such has been assessed that training is not enough, you wont get hired. training is already an investment.

for newbies, it's normal to be nervous during interviews. though people may feel confident speaking english in front of friends, the story will change when you'll be speaking to a foreigner on the phone.

i have so many friends in the bpo industry, and none of them ever dreamed of being a call center agent, and they didn't even work with the same type of job before getting into this industry.

CALL CENTERS no experience daw..unya mas modawat pa cla sa w/xperience!! --- how come almost 300,000 ang employee sa call center? and its growing exponentially year after year. tanan ba diay na naa experience? asa nila pangitaon ang ingana nga figure?

@3pqlang: gikan ko stream before. about your post na unahon ang naa experience, dili lang na sa stream nahitabo. mostly, sa technical account na cya, even in other call centers. bpo has a job to fill the needs of client. they post ads na "no experience" for them to get reasonable number of applicants to be screen on daily basis. more applicant means higher probability that the job requirement will be filled the shortest time possible. call centers also have metrics to maintain, and if management sees that such metrics may be endanger if newbies will be place to take the spot of agents who have left, they won't even bother hiring people from outside. diha magsugod ang ma-reprofile ang agent. hiring from external source is like the last resort if the client requested additional manpower or if the metrics are failing.

but again, interview process in call center or any other companies are actually just the same. how come naa mga yuppies when companies can get pros who have better experiences? it all boils down to how you sell your self and get that initial impression that your too valuable to ignore.

simple....you don't NEED experience to get the job, assuming you pass the standards. There are some people with no call center experience but they get the job coz they can pass the standards, standards meaning proper grammar, pronunciation, spelling and they can clearly express themselves. And it is common sense to accept those with experience coz less training needed, but obviously they are willing to give those without a chance.

No need to be bitter, take it as a learning opportunity, take note of the feedback then improve on it.
